I think i've missed something on the whole crew training - but wouldn't splitting the skills just give you more of a spread of slightly improved abilities, rather than a bigger improvement in one ability? I don't get why that would never be a good idea?
Because you want 100% repairs ASAP as it is the most common issue (ie getting tracked)
You'd have to be pretty unlucky to get lit on fire every match where as 99/100 matches I know I'm going to get tracked at some point.

Ok, so you're going on the assumption that there is always one clear ability that you want. I guess my point is that surely there are circumstances where a bit of mix could be useful.

Not really with how little bonus you get from only one crew member's skill... remember his % is divided by the rest of the crew when calculations are taken.

Nothing is as fatal as being tracked in a medium tank - hence no skill is as important

can't remember having a fire in the Type 59, doesn't happen much, and crew deaths are less likely too.
I need repair skill badly, but first my crew has to get up to 100%

Also: Type-59's are highly vulnerable to HE shells, even from its strongest frontal armor. I do a good 8-10% per HE hit in my KV-3 (with the 100 mm) when I don't have any good places to shoot AP.

Type 59 facts:
The Type 59 is covered in lead paint. Some of it may be radioactive as well, explaining the green color. This is because China had too many tanks, and not enough nuclear waste dumping grounds. Non-poisonous paint was also far to expensive to buy.
The Type 59 was supposed to have armor around the ammo storage areas, but it was removed to make room for a credit printer.
The Type 59 sometimes spontaneously explodes due to the previously mentioned printing press overheating during intense credit grinding and setting off the cannon rounds.
The Type 59 originally had a loader, but he accidentally drank some of the milk issued by the Chinese government, and proceeded to "buy the farm". However, because China is Communist, owing your own farm is prohibited, and he was shipped off to a labor camp to make happy meal toys.
The Type 59's main gun has a 25% higher chance to critical hit you if you have never bought gold before. This is done on purpose. When asked about it, Wargaming simply said "It is working as intended." No other explanations where given.
The Type 59 is weighted about as much as a tier 6 medium tank by the matchmaker
The Type 59's engine has bad acceleration because it is actually just a midget on a treadmill powering the tank, located in the spot where the engine should be. This saved China approximately $3.00 US dollars per a tank, which is enough to buy two more Type 59s.
The Type 59's crew training consist of a manual stating "For the glory of the great peoples republic, strike down our enemies with divine force." and a picture of a giant Chinese man bayoneting a American plane out of the sky. No more training is thought to be necessary.
The Type 59's cost in game is more then its cost in real life.
Please, feel free to add any facts I missed.

As far as dogfighting and agility if your willing to risk crew loss oil+remove speed governor gives this tank incredible acceleration and agility especially in the low end. I've used that setup since the test server. So far using it I've managed a 62% win, 38% survival, 79% accuracy, and 269 kills in the span of 138 battles. I find it capable of sniping(the 100mm is more accurate than the 105 T5E1) or dogfighting but it entirely depends on the situation but yeah definitely agree a wolf pack is the best way to go when you can.

This tank wolfpacks like a champ, trolling lower tier tanks with its lead coated armor suit of Soviet bounceanium, and swarming other wallet warrior tanks like the Lowe in a credit printing-press equipped tank Zerg rush.
I just wish the damn thing would accelerate faster. Guess we ran out of the "good" (By Chinese standards) gas, and had to use the local lake water, which most likely has enough chemicals in it to substitute for gas.
