I had to play a few Chaffee games to progress the tech tree, and I somehow seem to find ONLY the tier 5 french premium artillery on the enemy team, pretty much every other game. If I try to stay behind a rock, the arty's high shell arc will just loop over and penetrate me. I understand that I am ranting about a tier 5 arty, but I can't wrap my head around how many tier 5 newcomers will suffer because an overpowered tier 5 artillery exists for all the P2W players. And it is also really irritating that all the leFH18B2 players only play the thing to seal club. I really do not know how wargaming can solve this issue of tier 5 matches being flooded with these things, but this 'tank' needs to be rebalanced.

It's a prem and they've pretty much set precedence they don't mess with prems.

A recent aveat being recently the KV-2 R which got hit by the HE nerfs.  However, the Lef isn't a stun arty so it escaped most of those changes as did all non stun arty.

And now that we're on the subject it's probably about time for them to sell it again as it's been awhile.

I imagine the same when the new players meet a Pz II J (tier III with a tier V armor).
But it's a premium vehicle. It's supposed to be OP.

Except when they nerfed the Type 59 and now the KV-2r.  Granted it's rare, but paying real money for a tank and then having it subsequently nerfed is not good business practice.

If you hiding behind a rock, you are just playing into the leFH's hands.  IMO, when you stay in one place, you are minimizing the need for the leFH to rotate around and making it easier for them to find a way to get to you.  This, as opposed to moving around where the leFH may still get to you but it has a much greater chance to miss and hit nothing.  And a leFH can miss a whole lot as it is.   It might hit 4-5 shots in a streak and then suddenly it'll miss on a streak twice that. To beat an leFH, you have to use a combination of cover, concealment and maneuvering and make yourself look less appetizing.  Or fold your arms, kick your feet and demand a rebalance because you don't want to meet that challenge.

I play a lot of arty. It is my favourite class in WoT (although, passive Scouting is fast becoming a new favourite).

Back in the day (6 or 7+ years ago) the British FV304 was the most feared tier VI arty. It had twice the pen, and was infamous for perma-tracking enemy tanks to death. It could even one-shot kill full-HP Lights and thinly-armored TDs (Hellcat etc.) Most arty players preferred the FV304, even over the American M44, which gives you some indication of just how deadly it was.

But, the leaf-blower (LeFH18B2) is far more effective than the FV304 ever was, even during its glory days. Even an arty-lover like myself will admit that the leaf-blower is OP.

But, you can take comfort in the fact that the leaf-blower is the ONLY pay-to-win arty. The same certainly cannot be said of Heavy and Medium tanks, where there are literally dozens of OP variants.

Love my Leaf Blower. I think my VR is 470, so I can spot for myself if need be.
