You know you've had a bad game in a T92 when you've run out of HE ammo, and did more damage by ramming.

Yikes

Ouch...have you forgotten to sacrifice your daily dose of light tanks to the RNG gods?

Why am I only finding the Commander Models M6A1 and T29 in 1/35 scale now?

So I just unlocked the FV215b (120), and I'm not really getting the dislike the thing is getting. Granted I've only had a few games with it so far, but the thing is surprisingly nimble, with good gun handling.

It was basically a sheep thing. It came out, a few people said it was crap, people took that at face value and it died before it was born.

More recently however certain players have scrutinized it a bit more and found vaule in it. I brought them into clan wars a while back, and others have started doing it as well. In fact as a tank that was a 100% no no in clan wars it's recently become a regular appearance in almost every CW battle from one team or both.

It has value as the highest DPM non autoloader heavy in the game (below only the T57), the gun handling of a high end tank destroyer (plus a turret). It has the hitpoints of a superheavy at over 80T to eat a significant amount of damage. This means the only weaknesses are its iffy armor (offset by hitpoints) and bad camouflage given the handling of the gun. In the right position between max view and draw distance it can pull some serious DPM as well as backup hitpoints. When behind an armored echelon it also adds accurate DPM and hitpoints. It can also work as a persistent threat covering autoloaders like the T57, though that job is more often than not left to T110E5s.

Basically it went from a tank no one wanted to one that people are afraid wargaming is going to remove from the game. It has found a special role in diversifying competitive clan wars lineups. They're afraid it'll be replaced by some pile of junk called The Chieftain or something?

Also when it came out it was a lot different then it is now. It originally only really had sheer hilarious DPM going for it (the original DPM was just absurd IIRC), it also had virtually no armor or hit points back then. After a couple of patches it was heavily re-balanced into its current form. As it is now it is a very useful tank for organized play, and quite fun for pubbing.

Chief,

I found a little quote about the ammunition that this thing fires (M41DK-1 Bulldog). its the same M32 gun, but with apparently advanced ammo.

I was wondering if you knew anything about it, and if you could share it all.

Block Quote

AAI Industries manufactures the APFSDS-T round M646 specifically for the M32 gun that yields a muzzle velocity of around 4700 fps
