OK, I'm jumping in several light-years late, but

Need to find something appropriate to put above the sabres, for WoT purposes, I don't think my military rank is appropriate...

Assuming a Death's Head is verboten as the SS appropriated it from the German Cavalry - and does anyone know where I can find a recording of the old marching song "Morgen Rot (Red Morning)" - how about Confederate rank insignia? It's historic and American AND will PO the PC crowd!

There's a good number or era-specific music to check out.

A pleasant drive from San Francisco to Texas completed, via Vegas. I 40 to somewhere East of Albuquerque, then a right to Lubbock and then Austin. Found a cool dinner spot in Flagstaff (Black Bart’s). Surprised the heck out of someone who evidently did not expect to see me ordering a Subway at Cannon AFB’s PX. (That place is waaay out there...)

Next stop, Oshawa, Ontario,  for the Remembrance Day parade up that way. Then I drive the other car to Texas, I think I’ll try I10 through Phoenix/El Paso, I don’t remember there being much between El Paso and S.A. last time I drove it, but maybe I missed something...

I would just like to confirm that Canada at this time of year is cold. Why couldn’t the Germans have been considerate enough to surrender a month earlier?

To stay warm just hum Canada's national anthem

Hope you brought warm clothes with you when you came up, Nick. And thanks for coming. It was nice of you to join us in our day of Remembrance. ~Cheers.

"I wish there was a treaty we could sign..."

"I do not care who takes this bloody hill..."

What a lyrical master he was. You are sorely missed, Mr. Cohen.

I totally missed that you were coming up here. I actually said to my wife " Damn, that guy in the M60 looks a lot like The Chieftain from WoT."

West Texas is west Texas.  Best policy is to take the last road you actually know is not under major construction.
