Of all the things that contribute to players’ performance in World of Tanks, map knowledge is one of the most indispensable.

Many a player will recall those fatal situations where taking one wrong direction caused them to return to the Garage before they knew it, spoiling both their mood and statistics. Having observed these struggles from new and veteran players alike when getting to grips with maps, we’ve decided to introduce a new training mode: Topography. To get a quick idea of what it is and how it will benefit you, check out the overview below.

This looks very cool and useful for new players. Nice job on this one WG.

I like the concept. Good to be able to practice for the randoms, training rooms only worked for competitive modes. The more practical demonstrations on how to solve given problems or deal with even obscure situations, the better. And otherwise, the idea of a single-player mode that's entirely risk free sounds great. If there was a way to run your own tanks with your own custom loadouts in these modes, that would be amazing.

There's other applications for the same concept, even very experienced players would probably enjoy specially crafted challenge scenarios that are suitably difficult. And this sort of single player format might also be the answer of how to finally make a historical battle mode work. There is of course a can-of-worms regarding PVE content in general, but remember that the reason PVE is so threatening to the random battle format is because the former is in fact more desirable than the latter.

If only this were an all inclusive training program for new people and veterans, not just maps.

This could be an extremely useful tool for teaching new and old alike map layouts, introducing new ideas for staging points, sniper locations, how best to angle and hull down, where to find the best ambush spots and where the enemy might be hiding for artillery to scatter the roaches so speak.

Lets hope WG brings out more PvE based stuff though, PvP is nice..but it gets tiring knowing there has to be a loser all the time...

Never happen. The almighty Digital Fighting Elite would scream down from their cheeto dust-encrusted sofas on high about "muhskill" and clog every point and method of feedback with their bloated ego whining to make sure it died.

Still a great idea though. Looks fun.

I hope this works as intended and doesn't turn into a lemming trainer.

I see this as a way to train up clan mates.

Once they get this done then it would be into training rooms.
