Howdy Tankers,

 

Just wanted to pass along the official word from Wargaming about Crew 2.0.  Although it's not dead and cremated like I asked, they hopefully recognize that the playerbase wasn't happy about it:

 

"The amounts of feedback and data that we got per the last iteration of sandbox is so great that we need to go deeper into all what we have so far. Nothing relating to Crew 2.0 will be released anytime soon and we will keep working with our players."

i'm not against learning new things, but if any of my tanks drive/handle/shoot negatively post crew 2.0, i'm done

It needs to stay that way.  The #'s I've been seeing on the server, at night indicate there is a huge price WG is paying on the NA Server.  If that is any indication of the # of people who are pissed about it, maybe we are finally getting through to them that we are not just a pay check but we are this games life blood and without us, there will be no game.  Keep up the pressure, don't buy anything and boycott all of their screw ups to make their #'s look bad and we can hopefully turn things around.  Just look at how many CC's are quitting ships now, over the same trash.  The player base truly needs to stand up for a better game.

It will come back in a few months with the same broken system but some tweaked numbers and WG will hope it slides by then.

 

I have no doubts WG will put it in eventually.

The problem is they will keep trying.  Thousands or dollars will be spent working on crew 2.0 while we still plod away on imbalanced funnel maps and deal with wonky mechanics and excessive RNG.

Wonder if they will keep working with the players like they worked with the CCs over the years ;) But all I can say is I dont want it . BUT , as it is I can see it working with the equipment rearrange  they did  , Couple new skills they added , then the modifications they just released  . I might be guessing its part of a three phase deal all working together . But thats just a guess .

The next couple of months are typically big hitters in the premium shop, especially American Thanksgiving through Holiday Ops. 

Let's pretend we are not doing anything soon, milk the cash cow and then giggle at the rage next spring time when we drop it on them.

It's better than the first monstrous pile of feces, but still favors the veterans *FAR* too much, and it still takes overall skill away from them.

I'd be quite happy finally having a uniform number of crew for every vehicle and having a crew that could operate in three or four tanks - or, even better, retain training for every tank they've been used to grind from stock to elite.

But it skews the balance between new players and veterans from a 'sizable gap' to a 'yawning chasm that cannot be bridged'...

Not dead and buried, well that's not good news.  Crew 2.0 has negatively affected my spending on this game last year.  And since they can't say what they are doing in the future, crew 2.0 is going to negatively affect my spending this year.  The only good thing is I will continue to grind tanks, as I may actually get to play them without being forced to fork over cash after crew 2.0 comes out.  This was and is, never going to be an option.  Crew 2.0 is end game for me.  No point grinding if game gone in a few weeks.

I have been trying to tell people to stop worrying about crew 2.0 for now. I had a feeling there would still be major changes.

 

Is there an official word on this Warchild? I know you are a CC but is it documented anywhere?

I like Crew 2.0 but it was just causing too many wild swings, in performance.  Plus, it is my opinion that crew skills should work as replacements for and not additions to equipment.  Case in point, BIA should be the equivalent to Vents but not be something that stacks.  The reason being that it opens up different options AND it cuts down the gaps between the "haves" and "have nots".  Crew 2.0 just created a crap storm of stat ballooning and that is never good.

THIS GUY GETS IT.

 

I would 100% buy into this being a large factor in the announcement.  Get through big spending holidays...revisit crew 2.0 soon after and have months to deal with it before next big spending cycle.

Great point. I haven't been spending for some time now due to Crew 2.0 and Field Mods and I've played a lot less. I'd venture a guess that they've seen a dip in cash flow and players online and made this decision.
