T110 is a new American top tier heavy tank scheduled for release in Q1 2012. Remind you that this vehicle will substitute T30 as it was announced some time ago.

This is even worse than R2D2, you can't hide it anywhere ........

What is that on the left and right side of their turret, ammo rack?

Well. At least they changed the weakspot of the tank from THE ENTIRE HALF OF THE TANK to a smaller one.

You people exaggerate the size of the cupola, its only slightly taller then the one of the T30. I think the covered searchlight on the side of the turret is even more of a weak spot then the cupola xD

Also in the screenshot it's shown to be mounted with the 120mm M58.

T110

Prototype tank developed alongside (?) T43 (M103 prototype). Features were special suspension allowing the tank to raise or lower its own height. Special armor materials that are still classified to this day. Smaller than M103 but more compact, better engine IIRC and similar armor but on a lighter chassis. Designed to mount a 120mm gun. 5 different design proposals were made, the one in-game is only one of them. Hull is expected to be similar to the M103 (~127mm frontal, ~ approx. 210mm effective armor)

Never got past the wooden mockup stage.

More important thing can we use the gun on the cupola? Looks like the gun is big enough to track a tank.

That's an anti-infantry machine gun or cannon. Highly unlikely it will be used.

Also, the hatch is the largest hatch ever in game. It dwarfs even the KV-5 turret hatch, which is a notorious weak point. Utterly ridiculous if it weren't for the fact that its not meant to brawl.

The reason why its being held up is because it's not Russian. (Or Chinese for that matter) :P:P:P

I highly doubt the stop sign (that's what i'm calling it) will be a weak spot. Or else a case will be made for the IS-4's fuel tanks to become shootable. Or the Maus' vision ports (I heard those are excluded from the hitbox as well)

yeah i don't think the copula will be that big of a deal you will be able to hide it behind a building and only expose the other 1/2 of your turret

but i think it is compensation or balance they give it a more glaring weak spot because it could possibly have more hull armor now and of course should have great turret armor kinda like hey i'm hard to hit mid/long range but i get weaker the closer i get.

If it cannon = it's good enough to track a tank. Track only have 20mm armor right?

I really like the turret shape. Except for the Empire State Hatch, but that's been said enough already. It looks like an upscaled M47 Patton turret, or a M103 turret from the front, at least. I hope the frontal turret (not hatch) will be immune to every gun because of slope.

First image: hey the hatch doesn't look so...

second image: holy god those monsters actually kept it as bad as it looked.

If the spotlight on the side causes hull damage I'm going to be very, very angry.

edit: actually, the hatch looks like it has extra armor around the lower layer... maybe it will at least keep out MS-1s...

Please don't ever use that reasoning. Only if you're in  a blown out building could you really protect it, otherwise in every other scenario it will be the first thing the enemy sees excluding the stop sign.
