Although the tank is small, but looks wider than T30 plus a large commander tower.

And has anyone noticed the Duck-Bills of the T30?

Lol, thanks for pointing that out. I guess that had to model it since the M4A3E2 Jumbo actually has similar looking tracks.hh

Why would you get a free tank if you have only researched it but haven't bought it yet? Or have bought it then sold it to free a garage slot for another tank?

Ahh, well I read the post that said if you unlocked the heavy line and got both tanks but only had one of them then either you get the M103 or M110 based on which T-## tank you had. I'm not much for grinding but I wanted to try to get the T-29 out of the way. Currently I have everything but the first engine and the 105MM. But it's good to know that if I make it to the T-30 and have them both then I am golden when the conversion comes out :P

Anyone else noticing this is an odd way of sneaking in an M60 Patton look alike :P?

Also, Overlord mentioned on his blog that the M58 may or may not be the one and only gun for the T110. I'll be honest and say it'd please me to no end if the T110 has researchable modules for a separate gun/engine/turret to make up for the lack of a second US heavy.

I always took the stance that the tier 10 USA heavy would be a heavy medium hybrid simply by how the US heavies play
It's no surprise to me that the T110 looks like an M60

Maybe it is just me, but most cast hull U.S. tanks of the era look similar.

The possibility of more than one cannon and more than one turret was mentioned. I don't think it makes up for the lack of a second line though.

I really hate the turret in the screen shot. It appears it was chosen specifically to create an unnecessary weak spot, or two. The other turret has a cupola with a much lower profile, and a machine gun mount. I'd prefer that turret, unless the armor considerably thinner. Especially considering you don't seem to be able to damage the big machine guns/mounts on top of the Type 59 and the IS-7. An infrared search light serves no purpose at all in a game where they say night battles are never going to take place. A machine gun serves no purpose in a game where no infantry exists. It ain't like a tier X tank is going to see a battle with tanks a Ma Deuce is going to damage. It ain't like they're going to make the Ma Deuce operational anyway.

link to the article the pic is from

Maybe we can research and upgrade to the turret on the right. I'd give up a little view range, provided the turret was adequately armored. I might even give up getting a bigger cannon and/or a minor rate of fire increase to get rid of an excessively vulnerable turret.

The right side turret is the M103 turret. The left turret is the "true" T110 turret. The devs made the right choice, even if its not a pleasant one.

The 3 vision blocks in the glacis also appear to be a nice weakspot...

It looks fast! I think it is going to really be a tier 9 med/ tier 10 heavy hybrid.

godly turret armour, speedy, manuverable, and one HELL of a 120mm cannon

The IS-7 has those too and I don't think they will be as huge of an issue as the hatch of doom.

If they make that spot light a vulnerable spot they better put it on the T54 as well. Later ones certainly had it. But the tank looks great.

Big difference: one is American, the other is Soviet.

I feel like I've said this a bazillion times. :P

Well, I overall like the looks of the tank, glad it's not yet another T29 clone.

The hatch is freaking huge and could be a problematic weak spot. I'm already used to shooting American heavies up close in their commanders cupola, but that thing is almost big enough to be a medium range weak spot, certainly if it is hull down.

Almost looks as big as the Kv-5 R2D2, which is a realistic target at medium ranges with a variety of guns.

I would not expect the bolted-on light to be part of the hitbox, just as the Soviet external fuel tanks are not. The cupola is naturally a weakness, but I'm expect that people will miss and hit the curved part of the turret/mantlet where the shot is most likely to bounce. Another possibility is that the upper "section" of the cupola is only treated as a viewfinder.

Well the tank is rather small, makes for good bounced shots. The cupola is smaller than the t-34 according to the screenshots. So hopefully moving it around will make for bounced shots as well. But if not and it makes a bigger weak spot then truthfully, you're driving a overgrown Lee. But for a free tank, I am for rolling it on the field because in the end everyone knows weak spots on their tank and others so just like chess you prevent capture by countering because you know where they'll aim, make it difficult on them and shoot first I say.

But if they need ideas,

I want to drive this next!

That tank was a late 60's project. No way it will make it in.

It triggered in my google search when I was doing more recon on the M110. It looks like a UFO on tracks.

Object 279 is from late '50s actually. But with 279mm sloped 'glacis' (can you even call that glacis anymore?) I doubt they will put it in.
