OK video Series scout
This time we are advising how to get back to back scouting medals
This one made easy because using T50 -2.
Now this is a high risk but high reward.
If I get spotted you are well DEAD lol.
3k in spotting and 2k in spotting .
2 map 2 great locations but High risk .So be careful.

New folks don't realize the importance of scouting. I'm just now learning it and find it a lot of fun.  A good scout can make all the difference between a win or a lose. Thanks for sharing this.

I've noticed in the past few days lots of battles with no scouts/lights.   I've been playing a lot of TD for missions, and didn't realize how dependent I'd become on them for help.

I disagree.  It's more challenging, but not dead.

If talking about players, I find most watch too many YouTube videos and think they can brawl with MTs and HTs.

One of my favorite class to play are light tanks. You can sway the game in your favor if you know your spots and know when and where to flex as the fight evolves. This is especially true in a campy game where no one wants to push. Sometimes in those cases a nice well planned suiscout run can allow your side to quickly destroy a good portion of the campers and eventually win the game.

One problem is you can passive spot but if no one shoots its worthless. Just remember who is behind you to give you support.

Well, the only light tank I play with any frequency actually has higher DPG then any of my same tier medium tanks, so in some light tanks you can brawl with mediums and heavies.

Granted, it's the Amx 13/57 and that tank is broken as hell.  It's also legitimately the single most fun tank you can play in WoT, so long as you don't mind burning credits like mad.  The single best thing about light tanks is that your ability in them grows with your ability in the game.  As i've become a better player in WoT, it's most obvious in light tank gameplay.  Key early spots can flip a game early.

It's too bad light tanks end at tier 8... then the EBR infestation begins.  It's great up until then.

I'm trying to do LT-15 for the T-55A campaign, 7K combined damage and assist, and I agree, spotting is dead. But for Bushkinovka and Malicampka. Other maps, LTs are useless. There's no place for them in the 15-4 ROFLstompings.

A lot of good points made here . . .

The way I tried to play and was widely successful winning (my other stats are terrible, but I used to know how to help my teams win) was the strategy of:

1:) Early intel - especially as Warp said, aggressive positions to help your team know where the other team is deploying.

2:) Map Control - gaining map control gives your team numerous options while removing options for the other team.

3:) Attrition - simply wear them down and often leads to the snowball effect.

All that said . . . I've recently dabbled back in the game after a two year absence and the above isn't what it used to be. It's far more like a free for all now. Those aggressive positions Warp showed us is a huge dice roll (which he said)!

But ebr are the core of my high tier scouting fun. Fast enough to quickly invade a camping enemy position to light them up and zig zaggy enough to have a decent chance of surviving the effort with its magic shell eating tires. :P

Exactly. Scouting in heavies is a must. Seriously. It can work.

I see maus with scouting awards all the time. If you get top tier then why not just roll forward and laugh manically as you collect another steel wall.

Scouting has been Dead for a Good While...   Only one's still doing it are us Olde Timers...

Had a Game Earlier in my AC46 this AM and our Scout was Doing Laps BEHIND Myself and our Skorpion....    I've no Idea what he was planning on Spotting from back there, unless it was one of those Ninja Heavies from the Japanese Ninja Line....    But he was All but Useless the Whole Game so I gave Up on that Round and waited in the Garage for the AC to Come Back...    He coulda Helped Spot the Mid, Helped the Heavies by Lighting TD's on their Flank, or even Helped in the South with the Mediums who basically ALL got sent Packing by the Red Team...

Only reason we Won, our Heavies had Sense enough to Cap it Out when the South Line Fell, if they'd tried to Fight it Out, we'd have Lost...   Red however went into Full Panic Mode I guess when our Team hit the Cap and they Realized they'd Overextended to Defend when their Tanks TRIED to Get Back to Reset and Failed...   Thank God for Small Favors because it was a Loss otherwise, they had us Beat by at least 4 Tanks....

Referring in general to the players that take their LTs to the cities and go brawl with HTs.

A big PLUS 1. Then I take out my scout light up 9 enemy tanks and get a whopping 100 assisted damage.

I get around that mostly by calling out what I am about to do and tell them to get preaimed at whatever area I'm about to light up. This of course works far better for campy games because no one is paying attention to chat during an active fluid game.

I’d say scouting as it was in the day as we knew it is dead. The new reality is deforested maps, poorly laid out brawl funnels and an unbelievable plethora of high alpha and auto loaders at high tier. Scouting is more situational these days but it can still be a game changer mid to late game if you stay alive…

I can’t say the number of times I’ve seen scouts go right into a bush unspotted, only to take a shot and get insta-vaporized.
Mid tier scouting is more purist because many players haven’t figured out what and how scouts do what they do, and bushing is less hazardous early game. Unlike high tiers where those locations are very likely to be serially blind shot for 5 solid minutes.
