Lets say you have all the equipment slots allocated with some item.  Later you go back and realize you want to swap-out another equipment slot and see the performance change on the right hand side.  You notice yes this is what you want and you finalize the change.

My question is, why can't the demount cost be applied when you finalize your changes?  Instead you get "charged" at the beginning because you have to demount the equipment to check out the changes.

thanks

You can't do it since WG needs to make the money up front. If you don't like the change and change ack ka ching for WG again.

They do hand out free removal tickets, use them.

You asked why.  This isn't the answer to that question, so you may know this.  But then again you may not, so just in case....

OP use the in game comparison tool and you can swap/remove gear and check out the changes there free of charge before you apply them.

Also tanks.gg allows you do to the same. Being it's not set up like the client it takes a little (key word as it's not hard just different) getting used to, but the bonus to tanks.gg is it shows some hidden values the in game tool as well as the stats window in the garage doesn't show.
