All WG does now is make BAD choices and this is another one.

This ARCADE game is based on WWII tanks that fought in REAL combat or were designed in that ERA, but now WG has made the game more and more and more UNREALISTIC with FANTASY tanks some of which are listed below:

1.  Japanese "paper" Heavies that would not even be able to move in real life and look like NAVAL SHIPS.

2.  Russian PIKE NOSE tanks that were a FAILED design, but emphasized by WG (Russia dropped the design and no other nation adopted the pike nose design).

3.  The 279E which is a ridiculously looking tank with 4 tracks that was another FAILED design and was never accepted into service nor was the 4-track design adopted by any other nation.

4.  The 4005 or TRASH BARN which was another failed design.

5.  The WAFFLES which are unrealistic with no protection from aircraft or small arms fire.

6.  Russian V-hulled design that were never put into production by the Russians, failed design.

I can go on and on and on, but I am busy ATM.  Please add to this list.

Yeah, they could have added the myriad of successful designs.

It's about time they put in track repair times! Huge thumbs up for that. Not so sold on the reserve track thing but that could depend on how good the new line is.

On the bold: I thought they added that awhile ago in Patch 1.11.1:

Spoiler

Regarding the track thing, I think the penalty should be higher than 30% But that's me. The ability to move while tracked is a huge boon, especially if you have to go for the rear track to guarantee stopping the enemy tank because unless you're behind them or flat-on side, a rear-track will most likely result in only the tracking and no actual damage to the tank.

This is just a huge misunderstanding of the game and game development in general.

Difficult to determine unless you "feel" that 30% in game, but at first glance I agree. 30% seems too low.

Right on!  I welcome ALL new Tech Tree Lines!  Gives me something to research and work towards.  I had heard/read that British and German Wheelies were next.  Or Japanese TDs.  Or Chinese Arty.  Of all those choices, new American Heavies is the one I'd choose.  The reserve Track is interesting.  At the moment I like the idea.

Your new here right? You seem to be mistaken about the game being anywhere near a simulation with real tanks.

But to add to your list:

Jesus scrolls first introduced in 1130 by the Merlin the Mage Corp. they failed field testing an never went into service.

Instant Repair Kits tried out by Crapco Corp found to not work as intended.

I could go on but I am busy also please add to the list.

Tbh I don't think you could have any non-100% Speed that doesn't annoy me somewhat, it's a huge difference between not being stuck permatracked in a position and being able to slowly pull yourself out of immediate danger. Especially with a penalty of only 30% (of course, we don't actually know mobility stats of the tanks themselves but the examples themselves shown suggest it's good enough) as most tracking is done to a singular track from the front drivewheel. I'll just be blunt though, I just dislike it when you can't punish someone for overexposure; especially if they do it multiple times; with a permatrack.

Is this not the feature shown in the 1.11.1 CT Video I linked? (Screenshot is literally just now since I have my EU Client open to begin my Ranked suffering)

Spoiler

I should point out I specifically ask since I run a couple of mods and though I don't actually select one for repair timers, it wouldn't be the first time one mod actually implements another feature (as an example: some part of Aslain's makes my crew display all 6 Skills for example instead of showing 1 Skill and then x5 Next to it, despite that I don't select any crew mods). I don't typically play vanilla either.

the biggest enemy of new lines is probably their need to constantly find premiums to sell.

No, you're looking at something completely different. They are adding in a repair time stat in the garage/comparison. So now when you add anything to a tank that increase repair times you can actually see how much of a difference it will make in the garage.

If you're talking about the "Suspension repair time" feature in the Garage, then yes. It is about time they added that.

But, if you're talking about the "Repair Counter" shown on the "Tracks", as they were being repaired, while in a battle, that feature WAS added a little while ago (about 2-6 months ago, maybe).

clearly wargaming has focused on filling their pockets with the sale of new tanks and forgot about the quality of the game: /
