This new track mechanic seems very interesting indeed, my only question is will the AE PHASE 1 receive this mechanic down the line, hell even having it as the testbed for it would of been nice to see,

LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!!

The only way to make it happen is if enough players raise their voice, but not just on these (NA) forums, it's essential we let WG know on the RU forums as well!

Yoh dawg, we heard you like tanks so we put a track inside your track so you can tank while tank.

I was surprised that they didn't do that for the Phase1 on inception.  Hopefully they'll add in down the road.

It would be even more powerful on the AE because there would be no way to double track it with one shot. Probably not a good idea to give it to it.

Man, U R right! Just read all about it over at https://wiki.wargami...157_Object_279R

We need to spread the word so BOTH the AE Phase I and Obj. 279 get the 'Reserve tracks' treatment!

The 279 DEFINITELY doesn't need it. Are all four tracks independent of each other anyway? If they're not then knocking out one should take both out on a side.

But of course you would! As stated in the above video (exactly at 8:03) a precise shot could destroy both tracks. It would be darn difficult (what QuickyBaby referred to as a "Matrixy shot" but possible nonetheless...

Also, the splash damage of an arty could destroy both tracks and force an AE Phase I to a halt so, as strange as this may sound, we all will end up thanking having arties in the game... See where this is coming from? It's all a master plan from WG to introduce the very first TIER VIII PREMIUM ARTY!!! Oh my LOL

They're not, but U could destroy them middle tracks from the front AND from behind...

The drive sprockets on the AE are at the front and the back, good luck pulling off a shot like that on it, if the shell would even travel that far once it hit the front sprocket. Also arty likely couldn't detrack both at the same time anyway, the splash radius isn't big enough anymore to hit both the front and rear drive sprockets. Not that that is going to help anyone who actually needx to detrack the tank in close proximity to it. No, the AE doesn't need this added.

Sorry, I meant: They are.

I think the 4 tracks are independent of each other (or should be, once this new game mechanic was implemented.)

If the 279 e got it, then they should also make the bars between tracks cause fires since they were going to function as fuel tanks

The Concept 1B seems to be part of the Yoh line as well, at least by aesthetics, I'm not sure if it was an actual Yoh tank.

OMG No.  Just finished a Tier X game on the Common Test Server.  Paris map.  Our team had a platoon of 2 Obj279(e)'s.  The enemy team had none.  Just a heavy tank massacre.  LOL.

Well, since I just found out that there existed blueprints for an AE Phase II tank, we may as well start petitioning them 'Reserve tracks' for it too!

It's only a matter of time for WG to introduce the Phase II as a premium tank, right?
