Just a Tiger (H) love thread.

Mine doesn't treat me bad, hell, I have a 100%/50% Skill crew in it, and I'm still a long ways from the Tiger II. All I can say is that the Tiger(H) is a support tank, it lives long when not primary target and while its at that it blows everything apart due to its stunning accuracy.

Often, I'm at Campinovka and a T29 rushes through the field, he gets tracked those 2 inches before his turret can effectively turn on me, but his hull sticks out and I shoot it straight into the Machine Gun Extrusion. Not where the ball-mount is up front, but into the extruding cylinder, this traps my shot and that's a considerable weakspot for a HE shell to hit. Obviously if I shoot him blank on his front glacis my shot will bounce due to an obscure 50-70 flat angle.

Anyway, that's my unbelievable T29 killing tactic, but this thread is dedicated to all things Tiger I and Michael Wittmann.

(Maybe not the last one  B) )

It's an awesome tank no doubt.
I just wish it could be like it was in RL when it comes to this game. It was not a sniper, but one of the biggest, meanest battle-tanks of that time! (Besides KT and JS-2)

well i didn't do alone either, good team can increase Tiger performance.
this is just my peak play, my average play mostly 300-1,000Exp with 10,000-35,000Cred (Prem)

yep the Tiger does suck when stock but when she got long 88, thing went nicely.

sometime people play Tiger wrong, she's sniper not brawler.
yes she can brawl but not much effective as USA or USSR tank, just let them do their job and support them.

Well, due to me excessively re-playing the VK3601, I really know how to handle the Tiger I now, I'm serious, you have to elite the VK3601 to know how to play any of the following tanks, this includes the VK3002DB bridging into the Panther. Because the Panther and Tiger I aren't brawlers, so they really need the utmost driver confidence and driver skill. I play aggressive, not frontline, never, but I take my shots and know when to retreat. My only weakness to the T59 tank is that its a Tier VIII and has much more health, other than that I always hit it, same goes for a VK1602 Leopard. 3 massive derp rounds lob at it, miss, my little 88 round comes, tears its tracks off and rips 70% of its health.

Other than that, the other day, I was in my VK3601, high tier battle and I found the jackpot: a solo, AFK, KV-5. I was solo..that battle was awesome, and we won so I got my x5 there. I'm making it seem like a pissing contest now, but I know exactly where to shoot a KV-5's rear to set him aflame. I drive a KV-5, hence I won't tell you where to shoot me to see me explode.

My VK3601 is elite now at 186 battles, and I have trained 1 Crew to 100% in it and the current crew to 83%, both from 50%. Happy tanking.  :Smile-bajan2:

Play the Tiger as you would a Slugger , except with long 88 a wonderful gun.
Your dead meat as you have only your HP for Armour . He who rushes into lead with a Tiger thinking its a HT is a dead guy .
Think Jumbo Sherman ..only you won't bounce much ..but the gun its from heaven even if they put it in an Nerfed to death Shell .
The trick is to live long enough to use it .
Uxe TD tactics..Especially Slugger 90 mm  and this time watch the Damage happen .

When you're at the top of the list, facing M3s and M4s and T28s and T34s and PzIIIs and PzIVs, it -is- like it was in real life - you absolutely dominate the opposition and, so long as you play smart, you live.

Even when you face T38/85s and EZ8s and any of the T6 VKs, it -is- like it was in real life - you still dominate them, but you take significant damage and may very well die.

The Tiger is vunlerable to the tanks that were designed to kill it, as you would expect - against lesser beasts, it rules.

Never mind that it is the best looking tank of all time.

lolno... Read some books.  The Tiger was the sniper.  Real tanks didn't go racing around buildings trying to shoot another tank in the tracks or MG mount.  The Tiger was famous for knocking out tanks at over 2 kilometers, well beyond the range the enemy (Russian) could often spot the Tiger.  If that isn't sniping, I don't know what is.

... with first-round single shots to their glacis or turret face, on just about any T6 or lower vehicle, from the 88/56.

When the map is expanded to 4km x 4km, actual penn/damage/armor values are impemented and the sighting system reverts to realty, you'll get that.

I don't even think there were sniper tanks at that time.
The Tiger in RL had thick armor and a powerful gun. It was not designed to sit back and "snipe".
You are right in the sense of tanks not flanking and aiming at tracks, but it was not designed as a long range "sniper", that is what Tank Destroyers (Such as the Marder series and Jagdpanthers) were for.

The Tiger may not have been 'designed' to do that, but that's how it was employed whenever possible.
Doing so pits its strengths - awesome gun, superb fire control, invulnerable armor - against the weaknesses of the enemy.
That's just smart.

I mostly drive mine rather recklessly, frontlining...flanking...they all carry high risk...

I usually drive mine the "wrong" way. And I find that fitting me, because I basically have zero patience.

Still, I love my Tiger. I was dead set on this path when the Porsche line hit, and I had never regretted a single second of it.

This tank will not let you down unless you start taking fire. Just set it up and let the cannon rip through the enemy.

I love Tigers too. :)

Easy kill with about every tank in my garage.  I do not think I have killed one with my Leo yet, although I have damaged one using gold rounds.

I have no idea why the developers of this game made what was a truly significant and dangerous German WWII tank into such a squishy target.

The thing is, I don't have much EXP right now, so it's gonna be a LOOOOOOOOONG haul to the King Tiger; The Tiger I's big brother. Oh well, off to my Lowe to grind out some free EXP!

And the Russian devs may have turned the Tiger I into a squishy target (Probably because they hate it for trashing their precious T-34s.  ;) ), but it still has a HUGE gun that can damage anything it comes across!

Also, why did they take out the Wittmann's Medal?
