You know how many AAA titles I have sitting on the shelf? You know how many of those I played less than a month? WoT I've played for 12 years.

Did they say they would never sell the Type 59 again? I don't recall that.

Type 59 should be dirt cheap, by now. It's been powercrept into obsolescence. You shouldn't be paying any more for that than you would be paying for the IS-6. There's no way anyone should be paying the prices they are asking for the bundles that have it, even the cheapest one. There are much better tanks to spend your money on.

Collectors want it, my friend.  They'll pay.  Even Non-Collectors who like to run rare and semi-rare vehicles may want it.  You're right.  It's not a great tank anymore.  But it's still fun to play.

They make Collector's Gem editions of tanks on all the other servers, when they start getting old, to squeeze the last few pennies out of the players pockets, but they usually consist of tank and garage slot, and nothing else, for a cheap price. You don't even get a crew with them, as I recall. You have to supply your own crew after you buy it. Type 59 should be in that category by now.

 

Even if they charged $30, for the tank and garage slot, with no crew, they'd still make a killing because a lot more people would buy it at that price, than in a $60-$150 bundle. It's like the $90 Pz II J bundle, that they at least, took the Pz II J out of, and made it available at a lower price point. You can still buy the $90 bundle when it comes around, but they have a cheaper bundle, now, too. Not everyone wants the gold, premium time, x5 missions, styles, or whatever else they throw in to try to justify the exorbitant prices.

Probably a lot more going on behind the scenes for that $150 than just selling pixels.
