This whole wt e 100 rental is just so they can test it and then nerf it so they can then sell it . Just be nice for once and put it in the bond shop for bonds and if you want to make money sell discounts for it in the premium shop . Every 15 dollars is 5k bonds off the purchase price . Start the price at 30k bonds and if people want it sooner let them buy discounts in the premium shop this way you can earn it back for free as before or you can pay if you want and get it sooner and without using bonds . Its a win win for everyone you can earn some money and f2p players can earn it over time . Or put it up for free xp 1 million . or something if people want they can purchase gold to convert free xp but please do something that isnt crazy expensive bc this tank was already owned by so many players for free

It's actually a lot better than having people flexing on money.

I agree but we all know WG will not do the logical as long as it's eyes are blinded by money.

Yeah, despite the changes within the company. I doubt even if the company had moved their headquarters in the NA would make any difference.

They are downright a monopolistic company regardless of how people feel or having their definition of monopoly.

You never "owned" the tank. Read the EULA.

WG retains the right to do whatever they want with in game content.

Do you complain about everything that WG does?

Well, the definition of a monopoly would be that people HAVE to buy their product.  This is a GAME.  And one that you can not play anytime you want.  It's not even close.

That is the most stupid comment that you can ever make.

Well, I can play other games.  Doesn't that fulfill the definition that it is NOT a monopoly?

I can even play other Tank games.

Edit - So what exactly is YOUR definition of a monopoly?

Oh the irony...

So, as Korvick says,  define "monopoly."  Blind us all with the depth of your economic brilliance.

Add "IF they want/need a product of that nature" after "buy their product", or at least that is what I seem to remember from the various admittedly pretty low level economics classed I've had.

Though, it was worded differently.   Along the lines of "the only supplier(s) of a good or service within that market area"

OK, after typing above I decided to be less lazy and look up what Wikipedia said.

Block Quote

is a market with the "absence of competition", creating a situation where a specific person or enterprise is the only supplier of a particular thing.

This is a GAME.

A game with microtransaction. And games without microtransactions is either slowly dying or fully dead.

Yes agreed.  As Diablo Immortal has proven, while completely scum of the earth, they are unfortunately, extremely successful.

But what exactly has this to do with what we were talking about - you calling or implying WoT is a monopoly?

I think the term your looking for could be capitalist or something along those lines.
Monopoly isn't about making everything be about money. It's about ensuring that there's no competition for that product. WG makes 0 attempt to actually put competitors out.

The definition you provided basically says that you are wrong.  There's 2 other tank games out there.

It was candy crush had existed before Diablo Immortal.

Warthunder has practically never competed against World of Tanks. Just like Nintendo stopped competing against Xbox and PlayStation.

First, I'm not the one claiming anything about WG having a monopoly or not.  I was simply commenting on the definition of monopoly provided by the person I quoted.

As to whether or not the other tank games are similar enough to WoT to be considered substitutes is not an argument I'm willing to get into, for or against.
