Tankers, Update 1.19.1 Common Test 1 is live!

As always, for the full run-down, as well as instructions on how to install the Test Client, make sure you check out the article on our content portal.

Highlights of this Common Test iteration:

New Chinese Heavy Tank line, featuring the Jet Booster mechanic, tiers VII - X:

  • Tier VII BZ-58
  • Tier VIII BZ-166
  • Tier IX BZ-68
  • Tier X BZ-75

Aside from the Jet Booster mechanic, the new Chinese Heavies feature some common traits: solid armor, respectable alpha damage, and great gun depression.

Well, if the line is anything like the prem model, then WG needs to take a nerf bat and hit them hot hard & heavy.  This is a little bit different than having laid out cash for say the Type 59 as an example. If you don't seriously take a close look at them, then your going to have a lot of problems that you didn't think about before releasing them into the wild.  That's just me.  If I decide to do the Chinese thing, I wont be spending money on that OP premium.  If your going to keep this thing, It most likely needs to be bumped up to Tier IX where it most likely belonged anyway.

The Premium BZ is fairly easy to kill if ppl would employ a little patient teamwork instead of being b*ttwipe heroes ... :sceptic:

That face-hugging mano a mano crap loses more battles than it wins.

Technically, they're rocket boosters.  Not jet boosters.  Maybe the devs don't speak English so they don't understand jets and rockets are two very different things and cannot be used interchangeabily.  Jet engines are used on aircraft and need time for the turbines to spin up and cannot provide instant boost.  Rocket boosters are used on things like spacecraft and missles and provide instantanious ignition and boost, which is being depected on these rocket boosted Chinese tanks.  Technically, it's very wrong to call these tanks "Jet boosted".

the armor profile is better than most tier 8s, in addition to the fears of it slapping you in return for generally 650 at minimum. It isn't easy to kill. And at the least, no easier to kill than most if not all tier 8s

Baloney ...

I do not subscribe to the opinions of petty experts.

At this point, the vast majority of BZ-176s are driven by children.

Get angles, and they die easily.

children can still be harder to defeat, if they are in within a tougher tank to defeat.

what kind of reasoning and thinking is that? a tough tank is tough, regardless the driver

If you can't deal with the challenge of children, get out.

you obviously don't know what you are talking about.

it has better hulldown than bisonte, patriot, Emil 1951

it has better hull armor than TS5 and defender

the whole idea of tanks difficult to defeat, like vipera, tomato torn wagon, defender, TS5 - WGs increasing trend

the tank pilot - sure can make it more of an obstacle. Of course. But it doesn't change the fact that even a complete nut can stall in it

Its way harder to kill than just about every tier 8. Thats why WG is making these tanks. For tomatoes to be difficult to kill. Bicycle training wheels.

Fine then, let someone who has never rerolled say, we don't need Rocket League in World of Tanks. Or Death Stars in tier 8. Particularly ones with more frontal armor than a tier 10 Death Star could ever even begin to wish for.
