Tankers,

As you may have heard, the War Gods event will be kicking off on the Global Map on February 13 (04:00 AM PT) and running until February 27th (04:00 AM PT)

The event will feature a host of potential rewards, including the brand new Tier X Chinese Heavy, the 116-F3.

 

There's a lot to cover, and the article does a much better job of explaining everything than I do so make sure you check out the articleif you haven't already, and please feel free to leave your preliminary impressions and feedback below.

so how many bonds will it take for players to bid on the new tank if they don't finish in the top 2500 50k/60k 100k in bonds??

I really think the global map events should be like Ranked Battles and be tech-tree tanks only. Like they should've always been that way, but here we are.

Always thought it was odd that they put up a feedback thread long before the event ever starts.

 

Kinda tells me that they don't pay any attention to the front end ...

Just you wait.  It will not be a whole lot longer and we will be rolled up under the EU and on a global server.  You don't really believe the line they gave when they combined all the rest of the stuff now did you?  Get used to hearing the Kang's English my friend, it's just as surely coming and your playing this game.

Actually all the reward vehicles and stuff need to be played there and there only.  It's so not right for the rest of us to suffer the OP special reward tanks when all high tier competitions ban them.  We need the break ,not the other way around.

I know It's been mentioned over a dozen times each campaign and while WG has removed reward tanks from tournaments and ranked battles, why is this still not a thing for campaigns. Not only would it at least shift the meta to encourage grinding tech tree tanks (since anyone with a chief or 279e doesn't really need to grind a single other tier 10 in the game to be competitive) but players who haven't had the opportunity to earn a chief yet wouldn't be stuck on the bench for other players solely for the reason of not having a chieftain.

Back in the day I think it was this way. ~10-11 years ago there were no tier 10 tanks outside of the tech tree. All we had were tier 8 premiums. This balance, brought back, would be nice.

This thread isn't about tank balance, but ideally the chief would be nerfed and ALSO not allowed in competitive-- by its very nature having the reward for competitive be required to be used in competitive is an awful decision.
