thanks to your advice I managed to stop a large advance last night and while I didn't kill that many tanks... who I killed is what pleases me:

Love to see the Vids, Every time I run Fraps I get punished lol, when I don't run it I have great games.......That's the way it goes lol.

A few weeks ago a Mate ran his Fraps, we took both our Leos out & that 1 in 100 chance we were in our own Tier & not a 9 or 10 game, so we decided to rampage in a 2 man Wolf pack, we would Jam them up & i would stop shooting just before the enemy dies to let my Bud get the kill, he ended up with 8 or 9 & made a great Vid out of it, my Turn was next, then next & next......just kept getting Tier 9 & 10 games after that lol.....oh well, still great fun.

I will have to start running Fraps more often in the Heavy's myself.

Hooray for artillery!

but yeah this is typically how you angle. I could have done it a little better against the maus but he had me pinned and I panicked :(

oh and hey while I'm on about it- sitting your front down hill flattens out the slope on your turret o.o;

something to think about when you chose your engagement spots I suppose.

Great video, I noticed that you took quite a few hits without any damage, so they were using AP and didn't pen?

Loved the choice of music too, did you especially chose the music to have that "climax" when you saw the IS7?

And the switch back to the ladida music after they were both dead was great too.

And what would you have done differently with the Maus?

not sure what they were using but I wasn't giving them a flat side.  don't give them a flat side in the e-100, keep as mobile as possible until surrounded, then it's sit and spin time (which is why I use gas btw) and always keep your armor angled the best you can.

Maus is slower so your engagement area is smaller, try to start somewhere you can get support quickly and before you get surrounded- which is when your window of movement ends. angling tricks apply for both e-100 and maus because they are both rectangles, but because the maus is narrower and more "rectangle"-ey it is far easier to achieve inpenetrability in all areas but the lower plate, which only becomes nigh-inpenetrable

if you have to buy time by tracking them as you reposition, then so be it. having the advantage of clear artillery support will trump any individual skill.

-as far as tracking goes, if you can get a clear shot on their drive or idle wheels, (if you dont know where transmissions are located in the higher tier tanks, it's a good time to find out) then shoot them when you go to track. on some tanks shooting the idle wheels will cause damage (like the front ones on is-7), and on most tanks shooting the  drive wheels will cause damage to the tank, and module damage to the engine. so de-tracking, potential damage, and fire on a single shot !! :) But for this to happen you need to see the side of the wheel, with the bolts, like on a car. Otherwise do what you have to do to keep them off you. you definitely have the armor and hitpoints to handle a few hits as you get into a secure position.

I noticed that in the video you took a shot at the IS-7 turret, but it bounced, any  particular reason for that? going for commanders hatch?

LMAO Beautiful vid BC, you played around with the IS7 & Maus & slaughtered them at will, tracking him twice in a row was hilarious.
Like Orion mentioned, awesome music & the screech as you turn the corner & the IS7 is there made me laugh out loud, best elevator music I have ever heard.
That made me feel a lot better.

I thought sloping the hull down was giving my turret a disadvantage, but I didnt figure out how until I took a close look at the turret again.lol

there's a soft spot on the left of their gun, so on your right when you're looking at it.

I missed by leaps and bounds though, partly because of the movement, and partly because of the terrain

Awesome work Battlecruiser, I enjoyed your other videos too, and your win rate in your E-100 is very impressive !

Do make more vids, very informative and great music choice.

Awesome job, the feeling of killing both is7 and that maus must be euphoric. i'm more curious about your angling technique, do you habitually know how much to angle? Is it the imaginary line from the enemy's gun to the corner or your tank where the tracks and frontal armour meet? I hope you know where im referring to, basically the corners of the tank. Very effective bouncing of shells, not to mention the is7 for some reason think he could steamroll you without aiming(lol)

Great vid! This video should answer all future question regarding E100s.

Great vid! This video should answer all future question regarding E100s.

it's more about utilizing terrain as well as normal angling, typically you want to be able to roughly guess where the enemy is aiming, and then from where they are aiming roughly determine what the angle of impact will be, and then you should try to decrease their chances of penning by adding more angle.

it is much, much harder to bounce shots uniformly on flat ground in the e-100 but on the other hand it is much easier to get caught in a disadvantageous position when trying to use terrain, like when i got pinned with my front pointing into the dirt against that maus.

against experienced players that know where to aim, making them bounce you is much, much harder because they know the weak spots, but as long as you know they know you can use movement to try and avoid getting hit in those vital spots.

I'm not exactly good at this yet either but the more I play the better I get, and here's a tip

when you get nailed by somebody and you cant figure out what you did wrong, instead of getting upset you should  pm them after the battle and ask them where they were aiming. this kind of feedback (if you can get it) can be very helpful in many ways.

You tell them to expose their sides? I can penetrate the sides of an E-100 and do damage with my M4 Sherman. And you say the sides are tough? I am aiming for the middle of the overhang. I penetrate and do about 4% damage, which is pretty good in a Sherman.

I suppose what he's trying to say is if you sit your tank at a 45-ish degree angle it's actually more difficult to pen your side as well as your front.

If you've gotten around an e-100 and can hit his sides he probably has more problems than just a sherman to deal with
