I suppose what he's trying to say is if you sit your tank at a 45-ish degree angle it's actually more difficult to pen your side as well as your front.

If you've gotten around an e-100 and can hit his sides he probably has more problems than just a sherman to deal with

Ok... I get what you're saying... Also, there was a T29 fighting him too... So...

getting overwhelmed by an m4 and a t29 in the e-100 just speaks volumes about the driver, but typically you dont want anything to get past your front. when swarmed you achieve this objective however you can until support can arrive. if it is clear no support will come then do your best. but seriously? trouble against a t29 and an m4? that's three shots he couldn't seem to make I guess

You tell them to expose their sides? I can penetrate the sides of an E-100 and do damage with my M4 Sherman. And you say the sides are tough? I am aiming for the middle of the overhang. I penetrate and do about 4% damage, which is pretty good in a Sherman.
lol, ill let you have 3 free shots at my E100's sides at how I angle them. you will only deal amage with HE, but even then I have had Shermans make a "tink" sound when they hit my skirts. As for a T29 being able to penetrate easily: not with me. its a great gun, but by the time your shooting at T9 and above tanks, it starts to lack penetration, even in the 105mm.

if the E100 driver can get easily penetrated by a Sherman or a T29, or god forbid, lose to them, that driver needs to read this thread and watch the videos in it to see how to protect the tank

so it turns out this tank can be a VERY decent money earner- especially due to its cost to run.

Ok so I found this really cool book, with technical info on the E-100, the turret that had been designed for it and I also saw some cool thing including several versions of the maus turret which I had previously seen on models of the e100.

So I attached both files and I encourage you to check them out, definately a cool find.

P.S. A friend told me he had the book but was going to lend it out so he scanned it for me, if its not allowed I'll remove the pics.

EDIT: seeing how there are a couple variants on the maus turret and it talks about the maus 2(!) I think  it would be really cool if the community managers showed this to the devs and maybe, just maybe we could get some new turrets for the maus or for the E100 since it uses the turret that is listed as the maus 2's intended turret.

According to Overlord 's blog
''The "ears" of E-100 and T29 have been adjusted to no damage armor type, hitboxes of E-75 and E-50 haven't been changed.''

Say goodbye to the police bar baby cus right now you'll only target the lower hull only :Smile-izmena:

oh theres still other vulnerabilities that I have not yet put up because I wanted to not have to expose them all just yet. the turret ring is awful soft and prone to breakages

I absolutely love this tank.  There's just something extremely satisfying about wielding that awesome gun.  I guess the same can be said of the T30, T95 and Object (maybe even moreso since they don't bounce as much), but man, I love the damage.  One-shotting tier 7 TDs makes me smile.  Taking half the life off of tier 8 heavies with one shot makes me feel like I just took a sip from a nice, cold beer.

Nothing can replace the pure, unadulterated, sheer damage these guns can dish out.  DPM/high ROF fans really have no idea what they're missing.

Oh yeah baby I know what your talking about, I have 1 shotted several T59's at 100%, right in the back of the Turret BOOOOM!
I feel sorry when its an IS or KV but not a T59.

The last couple of weeks I have noticed the E100 drivers are getting much much better with the Angling of the Hull & its getting harder to get a Pen when playing Peekaboo now.

its probably got something to do with the increasing number of views on this thread too- but maybe its a coincidence and I am looking for something good to come out of it.lol

Actually, its only the ears on the Police bar that will take no damage, the police bar over the turret will still be a weakspot. Keep reading on overlords blog and he says it in a reply to someones question...  :(

After much credit spending and hassle I have managed to retrofit my E-100 with hydraulic suspension. On my first run it appears that it was a little too enthusiastic and I spent the rest of the match trying to explain to the poor lady why there was a giant E-100 front sticking through her window.

With much work and effort, your E-100 can do anything :)

Last week I saw an IS7 in that exact spot all tweaked up.  I think that old lady is getting use to noisy neighbors. :)
