What, in the world, is wrong with this tank.  The first time i got it i got the second gun for it, hit it's targets fine, and i racked up a good 75k xp almost to the M4043.  Now, I don't know WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS THING, whether it was an update !@#$%^^& me, or what, but it misses, terribly, like just repetitive missing. Not your avg. splash dmg miss, no, but how the HE** did it even hit there, kind of missing. Im sick of it, and thinking about saying screw artillery altogether, anything i should know about how to improve or work around its terrible accuracy? PLEASE ANY TIPS.

American arty seems to have had an accuracy nerf, dunno why.
I have switched from american arty to russian stuff - going to grind like hell to get the moon gun (S-51)

im not but about 20k off the S-51, but i was grinding to the T92 for my clan in the first place, i hate artillery. But i'd rather just not move around, did that too much now i have about 10 tier 8s or somethin 1 tier 10 and couple 9s out of 5.7k ish battles i think it is. Can't do that anymore i should have more if i didnt do that.

Don't tell me this! I was really looking forward to the M12. M41 is already bad enough as it is. Terrible accuracy, weak damage and very slow reload. And what you're telling me doesn't sound any better. :(

LOL.  I can tell you now, it's not going to get *any* better as you go up the tree.  Atleast from Tier 4+ every US SPG shoots slower, every tier level with the T92 having the SLOWEST reload in the game.

Quite frankly the M41 shoots fast.  But, the aim time is horribly long on it.  The M12 is accurate (to me) and the aim time is great so you don't have to wait 5 minutes to focus the reticle.

Well my first games in mine were losses no fault of mine mind you...
first one a pershing pranced down the middle and shot me on himmselsdorf...
Second one I manage to 2 shot kill a T28 TD doing pretty good...
and then the enemy pranced in too our base and shot me unopposed (thanks again team)

I like it so far, the gun is accurate and my engine and suspension is already upgraded.
So it's really not that bad.
It does suck that I got screwed early on by two teams, but the performance of the M12 isn't that bad.

I just wish the shell would land inside the shell more often...Hitting the outside ring is getting really old...At least they fixed the money on the M12....it was horrible right after release....

With 100% crew, rammer, gun laying drive and M1A1 gun, M12 with has been performing well for me.  Not uncommon to make 40K in a good match.  Occasionally I get zapped early or have a bad match. Some shots hit randomly, but overall it's a good experience.

M12 feels like a sweet tank. Bought gun and tracks with free exp since I knew from experience M1918M1 is absurd piece of beetle dung. So I had all modules installed starting from first battle. After 92 games:

Spoiler

796 average exp, solo on random matches. I think the arty is pretty fine. Decent damage, accuracy etc. It's a joy to play.

Hopefully T92 and M43 are at least as good. They better be though, after going through all the pain of crappiness SPG's before M12 provided.

The 43 is pretty good.  It's like a better version of the M12 with a bit less accuracy, but it makes up for it with the damage.

While the T92's damage per shot is good, this is totally ruined by the fact that every other aspect of the vehicle is crap: general speed, slow aiming time, VEEERY LOW accuracy and the lack of barrel depression for self-defence.  Do yourself a favor and don't get the T92.

I don't know why... anti-US, anti-arty, anti-big-gun...?... who knows!?  ....but something has made the devs turn the T92 into a turd on wheels.

My clanmate got 2,7k exp & 150000 credits in Mountain Pass. T92 can't be completely terrible!

Of course T92 may end up like IS-7 in my garage, just being there rusting away. We'll see, I'm of course grinding Obj 261 too to get the full repertoire of SPG's.

Used to have the M12 100% crew but then I sold it only to rebuy it later w/o that crew (transferred up).

Can anybody test the actual track traverse of the M12 with a 100% crew?

I tested it with my 86% crew and even though it was not 100% it was ~ 10 degrees per second.  I've never had an SPG turn this slow.  I think there may be an actual problem/bug being that before the credit generation was bugged until a patch.

track traverse with 100% crew is slow as hell. very slow.

100% crew and Gun Lay Drive is also very awesome. reticle shrinkage is very fast.

I think the devs cheated us in the M12s turning speed. Only thing I hate about it besides stock gun (12k to go!!  :Smile-izmena: ). Another question not really related. Anyone in the M12 getitng Himmesldorf alot? It seems that 1 out of 20 battles is Himmesldorf in my M12 and its getting VERY annoying trying to keep scouts off me cuase of my turn speed.

Actually M12 is a good vehicle. Last match I killed 5 enemy tanks and finally got killed when all of my teammates had died and they still had a maus, a pershing. a M6 and Gwpanther. It's accuracy is damn good for me, and 5 secs aiming time on the second gun is just brilliant. The only complain is it's traverse. Horribly slow traverse speed.

However, there is a trick with that slow traverse. I can turn my M12 without expanding the reticle :D

I just got my m12 last night. Had the engine and highest radio upgrade from previous research. First match I got 3 kills and master gunner achievement. Seems like a nice little tank to me. :)

I have never had any problem with any of the USA SPG's, I guess I'm just that good.

I love this SPG.  I've been playing the M40/M43 for a few weeks now (crew @ 97%) but I still can't touch all the crap I've pulled off with the M12.  Sharpshooter @ 11, Reaper @ 7, Master Gunner @ 11 and even got a Kamikaze medal for some stupid light who thought he'd kill me in 1 shot  :)

I actually love the M12, mostly due to the reticle barely changing if you move the hull. I tried my friend's GWP. The reticle blooms up about the same if you turn the turret/gun on the GWP compared to turning the hull on the M12 and M12 also aims faster. The turn speed I find is good for shooting long range, but you're really screwed if a scout or med closes in.
