My Type 59 seems better than my T44?

for me I seem to pen the type from the front in my T44 at random rather than consistently. I think I've only really raped Types if they are noobing it up.
if types are now tiered correctly hoepfully less people will encounter them earlier than they should... no tank is invisible.

That's to be expected due to the combination of 120mm of frontal armor on the upper glacis plus sloping. The D-10T and LB-1 only have 175mm average penetration @ 100m so it's more likely than not that your rounds will bounce off the Type 59's glacis unless you have a height advantage to negate the sloping of the armor or get lucky and slip a round through on a favorable penetration roll. It's better to go for a track shot, spin him out with his right side (non-driver) facing your teammates and let them rip his hull ammunition rack and fuel tank a structurally superfluous new orifice.

Seriously, the Type 59 breaks the Premium tank mold that existed before Lowes and what not. The formula was : good armor OR good speed, sub-par gun, and improved money making. This was done so that premiums could in no way be considered "pay to win". They had an obvious strength and an obvious weakness, to make them BETTER than STOCK tanks of the same tier, but worse than upgraded tanks of the same tier.
This doesn't apply to the Type. Before the nerfs, it was just insane. It literally did it all, and functioned as an MBT, fighting tier 6's and 5's regularly. After the nerfs, it has to fight other tier 8's now, and 9's and 10's sometimes. It still has great armor for a Tier 8, with the speed and agility to use it's sub-par (I think?) gun extremely effectively.
It was an obvious "pay to win" tank that was so amazingly great that it has since been removed from the store. I think that action rather speaks for itself.

What nerfs? All that was done was to bump it up in the matchmaking tables on par with Tier 7 medium tanks and suddenly the tank that was "invincible" and "broken" and "imbalanced" is right in line with all of the other Tier 8 mediums in the global statistics.

The t-44 is under-classed by the type
I griped about it constantly before I sold it and the t-44 is rated slightly better due to speed(only noticeable if you are racing for pink slips)
type 59 kicks t-44 all over due to frontal armour(side was just about as bad as well)Aim for centre just above boogies
Its a crock and the worst part is that the t-54 you may be grinding for is a huge let down when compared to all the other Alpha mids

Since the new gun and engine in the last update. The T-44 will comfortably beat a Type one on one every time. T-44 also has much better mobility so it can get up those hills to the sneaky sniper bushes quicker than pretty much any other medium tank.
FYI, a Type cant track traverse faster than a 44 can circle, it can certainly keep its gun trained on it however. End of the day though the higher RPM on the T-44 means during 1 on1 it will be a win for the T-44.

I'm pretty sure it can...Unless you are facing a Type with a 50% crew...

You mean unless the T-44 bounce a shot on Type's glacis while trying to get close enough to circle while the Type pens T-44 back and now T-44 is one shot behind?
Well that t-44 was not smart he should have stayed at range shot the track off the type-59 when it tried to advance spun it sideways shoot ammo rack all over type is dead. Or is the type-59 trys to stay at range and fight the t-44 should rip it appart. The t-44 with the lb1 has better accuracy, reload. If you bounce a shell off the type-59 there is a 98 percent chance you are shooting it in the front of the turret or the strong lower front plate. I say this because any tank over tier 6 has no problem penning the type-59 anywhere but those 2 spots. Plus the type-59 is the only tank in the game that has 5 ammo rack locations that pop easy (one on every side of tank exept one sid ehas 2. The next closest is 4 in the t-54 then there are many that have 3. The t-44 is better then the type-59 in acceleration, mobility, gun, camo ratting. The type-59 has better armor in 2 places the rest the t-44 wins at.

What's "at range" that's far enough that the Type isn't shooting you back, yet close enough that you can start circle it before he repairs? Your shot going to his track is being answered by his shot to your face, or to your track as well and now you are both tracked, oops. All this "just track it" people seems to think that Type can't tack you back as well.
175mm pen ripping Types apart at range? Is he showing your side armor? No there isn't a 98% chance that I'm shooting at the turret. No one is stupid enough to shoot at the turret. The hull is good enough to bounce 50% of 175 pen shots when it's facing flat and angling it increase the chance.
Spoiler
This is at 20 meters square on. When he bounced on the upper plate at 00:49, where's the "any tank over tier 6 has no problem penning the type-59 anywhere but those 2 spots"?By better in 2 places you mean the entire front?

THE TYPE IS THE BEST TIER 8 MEDIUM.
Wake up, people. Wake the eff up. I'm sick of you people spewing total bs around these forums.
All a type has to do vs. any medium tank in its tier is facehug it and it wins. Hell, it can just sit there and angle its armor and the Pershing and T-44 won't even pen it 50% of the time. Against a Panther II it will facehug and win.
HOW CAN YOU SAY THE T-44 IS BETTER IN EVERY WAY? The type has 175mm effective frontal and insanely armored turret with wicked shot traps that can bounce E-75 shots. Again, wtf are you people talking about? The T-44 only beats the Type in acceleration and turning and accuracy, acceleration by a lot (relatively speaking) but its turning isn't really that much better than the Types.
Also, to all the delusional people saying "just track it", a repair trained Type will repair its tracks before you can fire another shot. ugh why did you even suggest that?
To the people suggesting to CIRCLE the Type, LOL?? It's impossible to get around the Type's turret, and if you're at close range, the only shot you'll have is going to be on the types turret anyway. you will die.
The type is the best medium of tier 8 by a mile.
Check my stats. ive played the t44 and type forever.

Hahaha they have ninja nerfed the crap out the type 59's and you would probably notice that most type 59 drivers have 400+ battles with it (not now tho that they have put it back in the gift shop, i cant wait for all the ppl who cried OP to jump in one and see for themselves it takes skill to affect battles not the tank itself) so yeah a experienced tanker vs a new tanker who will win.... T-44 are a hard match up in my type 59 1v1 but if I play smarter I usually come out on top (plus my crew are nearly on their 4th crew skill

Ok, I got one and won 10/15 battles so far. Do I get a cookie? After like 800 battles in T-44 from Beta and since release, Type is a cake to drive.
Okeano...I think you are telepathically linked to my head...
I completely agree, all this "OH THE T-44 CAN CIRCLE A TYPE!" is useless unless the Type driver is less skilled, in my 350 games in my T-44 I have fought very bad and very good Type drivers. And a good Type will take your pants off and made you wish that you never clicked "Battle Start". They can track you just as easily as you can track them.
That said, after trying out the Type for ~30 games, I have to say that if there's one weakness to the Type, it's that it's much less capable against higher tiered tanks due to its inability to run away at a blink of an eye if things turns sour. I'm still learning the tank, but it's starting to frustrate me that a tier 8 PREMIUM is just as good as my regular tier 8 AND is much more fun to play than the Lowe which I paid the same amount for.

I don't disagree the winning strategy of a Type-59 vs any other medium is to facehug and they win. However this doesn't automatically make them the best tier 8 medium. Dueling with an opposing medium isn't always the primary purpose in a battle anyway. Personnally our stats are somewhat swapped in these two tanks. I have almost a 60% win rate in my T44 while only a 53% in my Type-59. I would speculate that yes, the Type59 will bounce a few more shells from the lower/even tier competition, while the T44 will dodge a few more shells from the big guys who would penetrate us both.

The T-59 does seem more bouncy than the T-44. When I had my IS3 I shot a 59 in the front, below the main gun where the hull and turret meet, with the top gun for the IS3 and it just bounced off. It somehow bounced off a shot trap. Do that to a T-44 and it will go through.
Lets not forget that the Type 59 is actually the T-54 just with a different name on it and a slightly worse engine.
