They greatly improved all the UI and interfaces. In the short time I played it pre-patch everything was a drag to use and understand (Perhaps because I was mostly new) But after the patch, even in just a short while I am finding everything MUCH easier to use.

1000 is the normal maximum, but you can earn 1500 during the Dilithium Mining events. I can do it with 6 characters during those events for a total of 9000 Dil... but I rarely do that anymore because my brain starts oozing out of my ears due to the sheer repetitive boredom of it all.
With other dailies, I can manage up to 20000 Dil farmed in one day, but the dailies are so damn repetitive I rarely manage more than two or three thousand.
