5,200+ battles...every single one a random pub match.  Never in a clan, never platooned once and I see some forum people fairly often.

Got paired up with Mow_Mow last night for an artyless match in Erlenberg.

I was bottom 3rd of the pack in my KV-3 and only did a mediocre job lending crossfire support from the NE hill to the team in the south.  9 shots, 7 hits, 3 damaged, but zippo on the kills.  Mow_Mow racked up 3 kills even after making a funny self-deprecating comment about being lame at tanks.   Sadly our North flank caved in after 4 or 5 minutes and it was over soon afterwards.  Funny thing about the KV-3 is that it's not magically elusive when being flanked by three.  lol.

Anyway, there's another forum posters spotted in game.

And to borrow a line from The Prisoner:    "Be seeing you!"

Bumped into Nichts twice this weekend.  Nice to meet you sir!

Just grazed your T-59 Saturday, and wounded but also did not kill your GW Panther Sunday.

I honestly don't remember the first one.

The second was a roflstomping of my team. Or at least felt like it... you guys came down that flank so fast.

We were stacked a bit heavy on the west and everyone did a great job of focus-fire eliminating targets.  But it only felt like a roflstomping.  By the time we saw you you already had two crossing the RR tracks in the SouthEast and you guys capped and won.

Edit: forum won't let me post second screenshot.  Says I used my 500k quota.

I've seen you a few times too jd.  You usually say something funny in chat that cracks me up.

Marxist does some excellent taunting.

Encountered the LOBSTER_MOBSTER twice as an enemy, and don't ask me how, but our team won both times.

I ran down the south and got nailed by like 5 tanks and barely crawled to cover with 52 hit points left and a dead engine. I was able to fire on the middle but then everyone died and it was me at 52 hit points versus 4-5 half-HP enemy tanks. :(

I often tell platoon mates that they are safe when platooning with me because I always get shot first... and it really was true that match :(

My most memorable was running into Marxist as an enemy a couple of times in lower tier matches. Both times he carried their team to victory. That guy's got serious game.

I've played with and against Marxist on a number of occasions. One game I met him alone on Abbey on the west flank in my Jagdtiger, and he was in his IS4. I lost due to a damn bounced shot.
Another I someone on the other team in a E-50 was talking all kinds of crap about him at count down due to his name...and this same E-50 player blew him to bits within minutes of the match...I LOL'ed

I was up on top of the hill lending crossfire support to your efforts but the enemy was playing it much smarter than usual on that map.  Or maybe our boys were being more aggressive down there causing them to hang back.  I mean, there was no arty and yet they kept themselves shielded from northern fire support with the houses.  Normally that's just arty cover.

It's quite normal to hide behind those buildings from the central bridge because it gives cover from the north and you can fire at the northern end of the east hill as well as the southern flank without exposing yourself to the north. However, that spot is usually weak to arty if arty relocates further south and shoots over the hill(s).

Most of the people that I run into that I'm usually excited to see are people that I speak with, so it's not really about forum fame more so than it is "Oh boy! A FRIEND!". I had a whole platoon tell me once that they were huge fans of me and I responded like this:

I will generally say hello to someone if I've seen their name before and recognize them, but I spend most of my time playing atm and not so much time on the forums, so I don't especially recognize anyone from here.

I saw my arch-nemesis "Hailene" a couple nights ago.  I killed him.

It was glorious.
