no, once you get the 128mm cannon, the E-75 plays like aq totally different tank. the 128mm loses all its ability to shoot out targets and peentrate at over 600m away

I guess the Tiger H was awful enough that the devs deem me determined enough to have nothing but awesome tanks to grind after it.
Aint that the truth!

I just got my '75 today, a couple more battles until I can mount the tracks. Then a decent grind to the turret which will allow me to mount the 128 I already have from my Ferd. So far the tank is very nice, loving the armor, impressed with the speed, but it is also a freaking fire-magnet. When you are spotted half of the other team wants to kill you, probably all of them but only half are within range.

Hmm I have got these big yellow pluses next to my crew members and I am having trouble deciding what skill I should train them for. Already have 100% in repair so it is a tossup between camo and firefighting. I've been leaning towards camo because E75 rarely burns, or save it for new crew skills coming soon, but I thought I should get some opinions.

Also whichever skill i pick should immediately jump to like 70% since I've had them for awhile lol

I would always go fire fighting first with a German Tank regardless, my E75 has had a few fires from the front & rear.
In German I always go, fire, repair & then Cam.
In Russian, Repair, Cam & then Fire.

You made me look it up.

They are both tier 10 12.8cm '44 L/55, they weigh the same, and they have identical pen and damage. However you are correct they are different. One is KwK the other is PaK, the Ferd's has a significantly better firing rate, slightly better aiming time and accuracy.

I'm still expecting to enjoy this cannon as much on my 75 as I do on my ferd, I'll have it mounted today.

AptPupil, thanks for the tips. I'm grinding towards the top engine on my E-75, and this tank is as much a beast as I thought it would be. Other than being an arty magnet, this tank well-positioned is hard to stop. I've held entire flanks by myself, as long as my lower-glacis is covered and I'm angled and arty-safe. One memorable game got me 4 kills, sniper, and 21 hits taken with steel wall, holding the south hill in Murovanka with just arty and a Lowe for support against 6 tanks.

yeah, this is a monster of a tank, but I dont see the need for it to lose its armour like wargaming has said they want to do

the path I took was:
put the KT engine and gun, then FuG 12 on immediately

then I got the tracks, gun engine, however the tank is a real slug until it gets the final engine, and some people do well enough with the long 150mm. I found because I did the E-75 on a standard account however- I needed the money, since I was playing 3 matches in a Lowe to afford 10 matches in my E-75

Overlord (one of the Wargaming staff) stated that once the new crew skills arrive all experience can be redistributed at no cost once, so you can choose one of the old skill in meanwhile.

I recommend Repairs first. For the second skill, Firefighting and Camo are both quite useless now, but I recommend choosing Firefighting as a 2nd because in a few patches the E75 will get the transmission box behind the lower front, which means that he will catch fire much more often when hit there.

firefighting is quite useless. 100% firefighting skills makes you burn for almost 5 seconds less. However the burn rate in the E100 is ridiculous. last night I played a game where I got beat up after killing off a few tanks, including an S-51, T95, T30, and another E100. Then a cheeky E-50 ducked out, tracked me, then ran around to my side and set my E100 on fire while I was helpless, and since I didnt bother equipping fire extinguishers and had 900 HP left, I died due to burns

Pup what do you use in place of Fire extinguishers? In my German Tanks they are in the first Consumable slot, I never ever go anywhere without them, in my Russian Tanks I don't use them, I use the Lend lease oil to give me that bit of extra power.

Here is what I did research wise:

Free EXP'd the tracks and top engine (the engine only because it shares it with the E-50, which I may be getting soon) so that my tank wouldn't be slow, and then I mounted the long 105, grinded to the turret, grinded halfway to the 128 of doom, free EXP'd the other half, and now my E-75 only needs the E-100 unlocked to be fully elite.

Also, with the upcoming armor update, you are going to be invincible from the front to lower tier tanks that are not tier 8 TD's, as even the tier 8 heavies will no longer be able to reliably pen your lower glacis. Also, on the topic of lower glacis, the lower glacis is basically invincible at range to many of the guns that can pen it up close. Keep that in mind, and remember, your upper glacis can bounce BL-10 shots with a little bit of angling, and you will do well with the long 105. Now, once you get the 128, you are going to have to get up close and personal to get anything done, and this is where your biggest weakspot, your EZ mode lower glacis, will come into play. You can, and will, bounce other tier 9 heavies shots off your upper glacis, but your not bouncing anything off your lower glacis if they get a good shot at it. Don't give them that chance, and you will do well.

Wait...what...the 128 is worse at range than the 105?

What range are you calling long range; 100+ yards or 400+ yards?

I can see reduced accuracy being an issue but do you mean penetration? The Ferd's 128 does quite well at range (assuming a hit of course), and the 75's 128 has the same damage and pen, so maybe you just mean accuracy.

Hey guys, I've been away from the forums recently, but today I read on EU Forums that the devs are considering not only moving the transmission hitbox to the front but they also want to remove the 12.8 KwK. Some say the devs don't want tier 10 guns on tier 9 tanks anymore?

Does anyone has any info to share?

Crikey, I hope their not going to ruin a good Tank, did a lot of grinding & XP conversion to get this Tank, now it will be worthless, The E50 too I saw was mentioned, that would be a very very sad day.

I think we may be safe, read post #14 in that TFH.

I think that if they remove tier 10 guns from all tier 9 heavies it would be acceptable, but the top gun in the E75 is already weaker than the IS4's, so the argument could be made that the IS4 gets nerfed more, and we know that WG doesn't do a lot of nerfing on Russian rides. In fact the top ISx tanks are getting buffed armor with 7.0.
