[0.8.5] NoblePlatoon's Music and Voice...
NoblePlatoon
Nov 15 2011
I got tired of the original music in W.o.T., and decided to create my own. Oh, sure, I could listen to an MP3 player...but this is more fun! And now I am including some voice mods I have made.
I, first, want to thank Mastertaco for his thread on how to begin the process of modding sounds. I, then, want to strangle Mastertaco for sending me down this path, because there were no FDP files to build from (unlike when you are modding the voices). Creating my own FDP file was .... insanity.
Attached below are my FMOD music template and my FMOD voice template (ignore that it says 0.7.3), as requested by some for me to post. These are my own creation, not the older voice FDP file that has been around for quite a while. If you understand how to use FMOD, you can now make your own music and voices for W.o.T. You must use the Spotting Sound file (attached below) in conjunction with my voice mods to make that Event sound work. If you make your own mod using my current template, you do not need that file, as the current template corrects for it. You must use FMOD Designer version 4.3.0.06.

Installation instructions are included in the zip file. Make sure you create a back-up of the original music files. If you find any bugs or issues that need adjusting/correcting, please let me know. Everything in this thread will still work for 0.7.5 (and even future versions).
I have attached the scope mod seen in some of my videos. I no longer use that one, so I hope I got it correct. Just make sure you update the folder called 0.7.5 to whatever the current version is. It is always possible that future versions will not work with certain components of this scope mod. If there appears to be an error, play around with removing one component at a time to find any files not compatible with the current WoT version.

Very nice job, impressive
Do you still have the fdb file?
I like the classical theam. I just wana run it threw Audiocity gain.
So I don,t have to turn the volume up. because the tank sounds over shadow the music.
its funny, almost gave the cat a heart attack.
I,m listening to Ride of the valkerys. Then you hear this BOOM!! from the tank shooting.
but I play around with in game tank voices. so I know it must have taken you a long time.
nice work. its a nice fresh change a pace.

Thinking about making a Star Wars music mod? If you do I'd be the first to test it out!

Hahah, yer there was a reason why I never got around to doing anything outside of the voice ones. I suspected it could get quite tedious. However now that you have done it, could I ask that you post the .fdp for other people? I'm hoping that eventually we can have library of all the .fdp files and hopefully get some awesome sound mods from people who otherwise wouldn't have bothered.

Please see post #10 above.
Well those links link to 2 examples, and their channels are the main channel's with the most soundtrack on them, and i bet there are a lot more than 10 songs on each channel.
But i might as well do it and share it with everyone else rather than a PM y'know?
Spoiler
There are probably a lot more than 10 on the channels but i think you should pick through them and choose the best ones suited to the game, since you're the music guy and probably know more about it than i do http://forum.worldof...mile_amazed.gif
Also, that soundtrack download on the steam site probably has these and more, in higher quality.
