As with other tournaments, teams that violate the rules will be disqualified from the tournament, forfeiting their progress to their opponent -- even in the event they have defeated their opponent in the round.

For Challenges, as of this time, it only includes utilizing tanks outside of the tiers allowed. For the June 2012 Challenge -- for both Oceania and North America -- the rules are:
  • Heavy Tanks, Tank Destroyers & Medium Tanks: tier 9
  • Light Tanks: tier 7
  • SPGs: tier 7
Teams found to be using tanks outside of the allowed tiers will be disqualified, and must submit an appeal to tournaments@worldoftanks.com.

I protest !

Note to future people in the tournament, the competition match maker does not know the rules and doesn't automatically limit the tiers of tanks that you are including.

So you have to manually remember that you can't use a tier IV SPG. Which we did by mistake, been a bit disorganised.

It would be nice if the match maker could just do this by itself ! After all it counts the tank points and all.

I agree that it would be nice. It's a feature I've requested with the improvements that are in development for the tool. Unfortunately it's not currently possible to limit tiers on a tank type basis, so policy currently dictates that disputes be investigated.

That said, this is exactly why I put an off-day between rounds, so that we can investigate the matter thoroughly before coming to a decision. With regard to your team specifically, we have received an appeal by your team captain and will investigate accordingly.

This could use an update for the current challenge.

so what you want is the game to make sure you cant enter a to high of tier tank for you? why not ask the game to lvl you account for you? pick what tank line to lvl for you. pfft

are you kidding? lets get real. if your members cant pick or bring the right tier of tank, or the team leader hasnt made it painfully clear on the rules to his team, then i say you dont have a place in this tournament, or future ones for that matter.

come on already, this is the problem with the player base now a days. players want everything easy peasy, either the team needs to have there s$*t together and understand the rules or dont play the tournament.

this isn't mindless pubs we are talking about here, its a tournament.

sorry to be so harsh but this kind of talk is watering down this game by the day. doesn't these players want to be known for having atleast some skill, and that would include picking the right tier of tank or knowing what the rules are and playing by them mistake or not

how does the disqualifications work for "passive gameplay?"

the actual chain of actions...

I believe the rule you're referring to is "intentional draws" please see this thread for details: http://forum.worldof...hallenge-rules/
