Got some question on the T-25. I have some gold I want to blow, and I want to play in some lower tier matches (so now KV-5's or Type 59's). Just how is this thing? It just look awesome, and compared to some of the other Tier 5 tanks I've liked (namely the M7 and the T-34) it seems like a pretty decent tank. Armor seems comparable to the Sherman, and the gun isn't too bad either from what I'm seeing. Combined with the top speed it seems almost like a mix between the M4 Sherman and an M7, which is odd for a German tank.

What I'm looking for is a kind of fun factor, so credit income isn't the main goal here (though it's a nice plus). Mobility is quite important, but I also like a decent level of firepower. Normally armor matters to me, but it's not my primary goal with this tank.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of the tank, and does it compare to the Matilda or the Ram II? I will probably never purchase the Matilda, and I'm torn on the Ram II, but I'd still like to know how it compares.

The T25 is a fun tank, but it lacks in multiple fields. Your gun is supposedly under-par, but I find it fine, and you have a good RoF. You also have very nice speed and decent acceleration, so you can get where you need to go fast, but you lack in agility. Armor is decent, but what really makes this tank is the HP. Compared to the 460 in the Panzer 4, you have over 600, which makes it a good tank for slugging it out with most tanks, just avoid derp Pz4s and derp Shermans. In the right situation, the T25 is powerful, but it has a unique feature of premium tanks: you're going to make LESS money for doing the same thing in the T25 than in the Pz4, which pisses me off a bit. Overall, it's a fun tank, but if you're going for a serious money grinder, then it isn't for you.
EDIT: Also, the matchmaker tends to hate on you a little less than the Pz4, so that's good.

That's as much HP as the 2 heavy tanks actually. Wow.

And the money thing isn't really what matters to me. I have a Lowe, numerous sub-Tier 6 tanks and tons of premium. I've heard things about the money issues. Some random tanks have that problem and I've never understood it (Slugger would actually LOSE money even with a premium, for example...).

And if matchmaking is fair, then that's an added bonus. So overall if it's a pleasant "I'm tired of grinding so why not have some fun" tank, I may just make a small investment :)

I would like it a lot more if it wasn't for the long aim time (even with gld, vents & 100% crew). I find the pz4 to be more fun actually. If you like German meds though having one will increase your crew training.

I would go with the Ram as I had one in beta and enjoyed it more.

i almost always make money with it and i don't have a premium repairs usually cost about 2,000 credits and ammo about 400ish when i use it and i usually make about 17,000 to 20,000 credits on it, its a fun tank but for money grinding i find it fine, its gun AP and HE which i find decent when using it, but the 2 biggest problems i have with it are its traverse speed and its turret traverse speed, its best in those battles when the KV heavy is at the or when your at the top overall its a decent tank

I had one for a while, recently sold it. I found it was substandard in pretty much every respect.

Gun: Low damage, low accuracy, low penetration and bad aim time. You will have trouble killing many tanks.

Armor: Doesnt bounce much at all. Paper thin with a slight slope. It's high profile doesnt help anything either.

Turret traverse and track traverse: Imagine a KV2 with the pillbox turret and beginning gun, now take this lack of fire power and maneuverability and put it on a medium tank with less armor, it is like having a neon sign above your head asking people to do the circle of death on you.

View range: you see nothing.

Speed: In theory very good, but you will need half the map to reach full speed, unless going down a hill, and forget about turning because that kills your speed.

Rare tank syndrome: Even if you are sitting behind a group of more powerful tanks pinging all your shots of the armor of your enemies they will will look at you and kill you first, because you are different and you are usually required to get that award for killing every tank variety.

in short this tank can not snipe well, it can not brawl to save its life, it cant scout due to low view range and poor acceleration and turn, what it excels at is sitting in your base until your team starts to cap the enemy base then rushing in to share in the spoils.

It's a unique package; it can be powerful in the right hands or with the right situation.

I voted yes on tactical stuff: GUN DEPRESSION! A German tank which has relevant gun depression. I can fight hills with M4A1's on their turf and pull my weight, and best them with a bit of luck.
It also has 610 HP, great for a tier 5 med. So it has a bit of staying power above it's weight.

It makes decent credits -- you have to get a lot of hits in to break 20, 30, and 40K 00 -- but it's got nil operating expenses, that's how it generates money. I like it, makes a good compliment to 2 tier 8 premiums. If I need a 3rd, it's ready.

I bought it to "complete the set" since it was the last german gold-tank I didn't have yet. The gun reminds me of the Matilda so I'm okay with it there, and the speed is nice, but somewhat useless since the manuevering controls and turret controls appear to be set in peanut butter. What's the point of going fast if you're just going to understeer everywhere and miss your intended target? This tank's going to be a REAL problem once physics are introduced and you see T-25's going full speed trying to take a corner and understeering over the edge to a falling death or drowning in a lake.

I screwed up when I bought it.  I got it the same time I moved from 3601H to Tiger (meaning credits were used up) and didn't have a ton of gold to spend (meaning no 100% crew).  With a 50% crew, it sux.

I need a few rounds with my mid tier tanks and the KV5 to at least boost the crew to 75% before I make a call on it.

Have it, and fought a lot of battles with it. Hits that top speed and comes in at the enemy in a straightish line, cannon has good rate of fire, and I don't find it under powered at all. Very low upkeep on it and I make 20k on average with it.

I enjoy mine. The gun is actually quite good, its like the 75mm L/48 only more accurate and with better pen. The aim time sucks a little though.

Update for me, crew up to 75% and things are quite a bit better.  I guess I never fully appreciated the difference in crew experience with the performance of a tank until the T-25.  I'm going to like this little tank.

I don't have one, but looking at it I would run EGLD, Vents, and either rammer or optics.

Its tons of fun.  Great for support.  I have gld, rammer & optics.  I also love that it can do 20 kph in reverse!
