Tier III: Panzer 38t;
Tier IV: T-28 with 85mm gun;
Tier V: T1HT, Panzer IV;
Tier VI: M6 Heavy, VK3601H, VK3001P, VK3001H, T-34/85 with long 85 or 100mm gun;
Tier VII: KV-13 with long 85mm gun, Panther, T-20;
Tier VIII: Panther II, Pershing;
Other tanks/tiers are more suited to other roles. TDs not included (they are all some kind of support tank, anyway).

Anything German Tier 7-8.
Tier 6 and under has the accuracy, but not the punch. Anything Tier 9-10 has enough armor that it'll be in a front-line position instead.
The tier 7-8 German vehicles have very accurate, high penetration, high-damage guns married to long range of sight, good maneouverability and decent frontal armor.

Arty.
Though that kind of goes w/o saying.
The TDs are IMO the best support tanks - but also tanks that most often need support.

Ferdinand. Last night, I paired up with an E-75 and we steamrolled through 9 enemy tanks. I would wait until the enemy tanks fired at him, then poke out, fire quickly, and pull back.
The Lowe also has an amazing sniper gun for Tier 8, but its armor is terrible for a Tier 8 so-called "Heavy Tank". It shares a lot in common with the T30, but 2 tiers lower. Both are really TDs rather than heavies.

More like a *truck full* of bricks ;-)
And, yes, the JT really needs support in Tier 10 matches. It can only go assault mode when it's safely on top and he enemies' Tier 7+ don't know to aim at the lower glacis.

SPG: SU-26. The most stable gun in the game and high mobility compare to other same tier or even higher, unfortunately, the best gun able to mount is 122mm howitzer.
TD: SU-85. Painful at the beginning (stock) becomes a devil when fully upgraded, sometime reduce KV health to zero in 2 shots, can harm anything up to T7 (also some T8-T9).
ps. working on SU-100, not a painful gameplay but painful as it burns money.

jagdtiger not only have long range fire power but also hard to penitrate in long ranges

All arty and TD tier 7 below can do this job. Weak armor and strong gun arty, high acc and rate of fire TD.

We'd like some feedback from you concerning tank roles. This time we want to know what tanks you think fit best in this category:
Support: Long range fire power
Support: Long range fire power
The US Heavy T30, without a doubt. The German Pz3/4 and my Beta Sherman because they both lack the armor and firepower to take it on the chin within their own tier...

Hands down the Jagdtiger. It's the only vehicle in the game that I have driven that can consistently hit and penetrate any tank in the game at any range. It has enough mobility to keep up with a push and enough armor that it will bounce shots that aren't carefully aimed.
Mid tier would have to go to the T-25 TD. Great gun, bouncy armor, great camo value and fast.
At low level the Marder II is king. Easily kills tanks 2 and even 3 tiers higher. Good mobility and invisible when stationary.

cant work out why people are saying tanks like the T30 and 704 etc.....support " long range firepower ""......dont that mean you have to HIT the target ???
kinda pointless " supporting " from long range when you cant hit anything lol

The marder two is my best. i can snipe the foe with it and it has a 100% crew on 22% camo and a camo net and is elite
while all my allies in trouble have a reason to feel safe

Matilda is a great support tank and does very well at keeping fast moving tanks from flanking the slower moving heavys.

I have only played up until tier 5 so far so haven't tried most of the ones mentioned. So far the best long range tanks I've used are the PzKpfw 38H735 (f), PzKpfw III and accuracy wise the RAM-II. Yes I like the RAM. I may not always penetrate, but I don't often miss either and with the ROF it has it's only a matter of time before I do penetrate.
