Is it true that with low graphic settings my fsp and ping indicators will be better. I don't know the average ( i mean good ) fsp and ping indicator but mines is 0 or 1 for my fsp, and 500 to 900 ( some were about that ) ping. I have a Asus computer that I think was made in 2007 or 08 so what's my problem. please tell me.:mellow::angry:

It is true that with lower settings the game will run smoother (not necessarily "better") however, in your case, that machine was outdated within months of you acquiring it. Sorry, but..time for a new machine.  :Smile_honoring:

Lower graphic setting will improve your FPS, but not your ping. That is more dependent on your internet provider and distance from game server. If you want, you can try adding RAM and a better graphics card, but a newer computer would be better, if it is within your budget.

Unfortunately that computer is a dinosaur. There isn't much more performance you are going to squeeze from it.

My Dell is from '06... P4 3.0Ghz (w/HT)...

Upgraded her memory as far as I can go (4 gigs, 3.3 seen by Windows XP) and threw an Nvidia GeForce GTX550ti w/1gig vid card in her... then tossed in a 22 inch wide LCD monitor...

Run 15-40 FPS (depending on map) with settings between low (foliage quality) to High (draw distance)...

Also, the test of 7.0 and the live version when it hits has graphics improvements for lower end system... mine benefited from a +10-20 FPS boost even tho my ping (which is normally 70-110 range) was averaging 200-300 (no lag tho')...

So there IS upgrading and performance to squeeze out of it... just a matter of weighing the cost of those upgrades vs the cost of a newer system... ;)

I just saying but when I changed to lower graphics my ping was better to, it was it the 500's and 600's and know it's between 100 and 200. I also don't know if lower ping is better.

Yes lower ping is better. That is the time the data takes to travel from your computer to the server. You want higher Frames Per Second that is what it states.

To increase FPS lower graphics settings and resolution also new drivers can help.

AGM, please post exactly what specs your computer has, so we can help you figure out if it's a lost cause, or if you can get better results with perhaps more RAM and a budget videocard upgrade.

Post your:

CPU (speed/model/type whatever you got)
RAM
Graphics/Videocard (on-board or aftermarket Nvidia or ATI/AMD)

And yes your ping *can* be higher than what it *could* be, when your PC is incapable of or struggling to render the game screen properly (very low FPS, 1-5), because the graphics and game are sucking up all the CPU time and therefore data from the network is not being handled properly. Or at least, the ping shows up a higher value because of the slow game FPS.

In any case, if you're in North America, with a typical broadband connection you should be getting 75-150 ping tops, assuming your PC is up to spec for the game (I average 75 ping, and the game runs at 25-70 FPS).
