I agree duck, I agree.  The only thing I will say is this:  If this is your first time playing, "Cover is life".  This will be true in the first 20 or so battles til
you figure everything out.  Best to ya.

Hey, if you get epically pwned in your first battle, dont sweat it. I got quadruple-teamed when I ran out into the middle of Malinovka in my stock Cunningham ;)And, Duck makes a very good point. Cover, Cover, Cover.
My rule of thumb for modules: always get the treads first. This allows you to unlock and apply everything else. Sometimes if you dont have the better treads, you cant get the other better modules, as they are to heavy. So remember, ALWAYS GET TREADS FIRST!

a few tips:
go for what you can hurt.
cover is life. hug it.
if you find a tank you just love, keep it, use it to grind creds to pay for the higher tanks.
read the wiki.
play each class, and tank, to its strenths. mediums can get around heavies and TDs, lights scouts, TDs snipe, etc. Hetzer is a brawling TD, stugIII is a sniper. dont shoot an american heavy's or the T59's turret.
enjoy the grind. think of it as gaining experience on that tank.
fear my KV, KV3, VK3601, jpanther, and Hummel(these do fall under my fav tanks that i keep)
dont transfer crew till you get to tier 4-5 and/or have a secondary skill.
there are idiots out there. do your best in spite of them.
yes, we know the MM stinks. dont rage about it on the forums please.
above all: have fun, and good luck.

gratz on the new computer.

First make sure this "gaming" PC can properly play the game, a day doesn't go by where people come asking what to do about their FPS problems and such. After that...read the wiki, there's just so much stuff you can learn, but most of it will come from playing the game.

First off I'd appreciate it  if you didn't act  "sarcastic". Secondy yes it is a gaming PC,It has a six-core AMD FX-6100@3.30GHz and a Nividia GTX 560Ti 2BG,8GB of memory@1600MHz.Which can run this game maxed out no problem based on the "max" setting the devs put up.

Zak wasn't being sarcastic... the game is only set to use 1 core... so multi-core systems don't get any benefit... and I've seen plenty of people with "good"/excellent gaming rigs that still get crummy FPS in WoT's... hopefully with the new changes to how Graphics are handled with the newest patch coming next week, we MAY see those FPS numbers increase finally...

So, again, IMO he wasn't being sarcastic at all...

Ok,so any FPS issues are the game's fault, not mine.

Check out the pinned posts in the Game Guides and Tutorials section for some great tips. Also, check out the wiki (Battle Mechanics and Crew sections in particular) to understand and appreciate the intricacies of the game.

Welcome!

^ What he said. Was not trying to be sarcastic, sorry if it came across that way. Pretty much what Stick said about the FPS issues and such, the game isn't optimized so even though your PC is awesome, it might have trouble playing it.

BTW, thanks for sticking up for me Stick.  :Smile_honoring:
