After the soft wipe, I'm debating whether or not to go for the VK4502.  I have the King Tiger now, and I love it, a bit slow, but good acceleration and turning, with an awesome gun.  For those of you who have driven the 4502, is it more fun than the Tiger II?  Thanks in advance.

VK4502P is sth like half maus and half king tiger, but it only takes the defects and the worst things from both tanks, excepting guns.
VK4502P is the the tank which we must go through if we want maus.
So personally, I think King Tiger is much better, 105mm gun is enought to fight every tank in game[ofcourse I don't mean front armour]

Having driven both I'll say that the kingtiger is the better tank. The rear mounted gun on the vk45 means you won't be able to pop in and out of cover to fire and it's just too damn slow.

As a Panther driver, getting into a turning match against a VK4502 means you've won, the King Tiger using hull rotation can still easily track a Panther. Granted, getting close to a VK4502 is a much nastier prospect, especially if you get tracked.

The VK4502 is poor for its tier, if you want a tier 9 go for the IS-4 instead. If you're content with tier 8 and/or are determined to stick with German vehicles, go for the King Tiger.

KT cannot compete one on one vs the VK4502

That's because it's a tier higher, game would be pretty broken if the KT was better than it. But I found the KT to be a much better tank for its tier than what the vk45 is for its. Plus KT is more enjoyable to play.

I've beaten a 4502 1v1 before with my KT. both at 100% also, it all really matters on if the 4502's driver is an idiot or not.

I didn't play as a KT but i love my VK4502, I just like that "DING" sound when someone trying to shoot you and if you know how to drive you can easily track and kill even T44's. Just act like a tank destroyer, stand in one place and use your tank's traverse speed along with your turret rotation and Even fastest tanks canot escape your mighty 128mm gun.  :Smile_honoring:

Tiger B you can use all day and make credits, lots of credits.
VK4502 prepare to have some other vehicles you need to use to support the repair/ammo costs.

not on the 105mm it seems...
were times when almost had no money for repair and re-arm.
Or is it better to alternate between the 88 and 105??

Should have specified.

88 L/71 for making credits, for more "fun" the 10,5...

Premium + 105 + tactical play = shitloads of money. Damage one heavy tank and you're even. Kill three and you get 20k profit. Any good rounds (and I have many) gets you 30-40k profit. My KT is not just self-supporting, its a moneymaking beast. I've made like one million in about 50 battles.

Yeah but once you research and equip 105mm there seems to be no way back to the 88mm, at least i cant find one..
Would be awesome to be able to switch back n forth but seems im "stuck" with the 105mm that is a major credit sink if used 24/7 unless i use more HE then AP..

LOL... even if you can.... the 105 is really needed game play wise. :Smile-izmena:

Now, I've been on the 105 for a day and, won some and lost some, end of day basically broke even with a small net profit. But no, you can't slack off on the 105 (tend to do that)!! otherwise it's dry wallet:D

For lols I bought a VK45, I knew it wasn't a good tank. But what it lacks in performance department it makes up for in "cool".

The Ausf B reminds me a lot about the Tiger I (at least pre-wipe), you take a hit and something breaks. Gun, Turret and Engine dies mostly every match. But even worse is it's tracks. 1/3 shots hitting you takes out tracks.
Upgraded Turret loses 50% turn speed compared to basic, but it's Russian counterpart the IS-4 get not turret penalties on the upgraded version.

This tank need some serious renovations..
