Last night game; staying under the bridge in bushes VK3601 with 760 HP
Killed with a single shot by a Panther, which was traveling at the road like 50 meters from me and I couldn't see it until it killed me.

How is it possible to make a single shot kill at the one tier difference?

Most likely, he hit your ammo rack.

I was in a game yesterday in my Pershing, where there was an IS-4 in an open field I was speeding across. Apparently it was right in front of me, but I didn't see it until I was 50m away. >.<

Everyone says Ammo Rack, but if there was arty, he probably hit you the instant the Panther fired, and the shells hit *almost* the same time, but the Panther got the kill because the artillery didn't quite finish you. Yuo say you were under a brige? If under the brige you were, then your Ammo Racks SHOULD NOT have been exposed. I have noticed if I'm in a good hiding place, there will be a Gagglef*** on my position within 10 seconds of being Detected. I always seen to be a priority target...  <_<   must be that they KNOW who I am, and KNOW I'll wipe the floor with them if I'm not dead  :D

Or you might have not seen another tank that might have shot you, while the Panther was spotting you. The two bullets might have reached you at almost the same time, thus sounding one big bang only and then you're dead.

I've been on the other end of a similar situation.  A Pershing and my KV both fired on a T-50-2 simultaneously, knocking it out.  This caused the T50 to rage about being 1 shotted by a 107 KV.  He didn't know the Pershing hit him as well until we told him.
