10 critical shots, no changes in HP

Tier 2 tanks battle; I had M2.

Shot a light tank 28 times; every time hearing "Critical Shot". The other tank's HP never changed.
During that I was killed with 2 shots.

What's wrong?

Your shots did internal damage to the tanks modules.  (Radio, Rangefinder, engine, etc.)  Internal module HPs are separate from your tanks overall HPs.

I shot a Slugger in the side hull armor with a 105 HE (from M4's howitzer)     no damage..  all 4 times...   it was SIDE armor..  wtf?

to me it seems like there are more complaint of this happening with american tanks than any otherhttp://cdn-frm-us.wa...ile_sceptic.gif
EDIT: but it can happen with others obviously...usually whenever you REALLY can't afford that, like if you are at 10% and you shoot the side of an almost dead T95 who then proceeds to turn and one-shot you

My slugger does a lot of strange bounces I can't explain. I've had a battle where I engage a KV-5 and ended up in close range, he eventually rammed my front, and so we sit there facing eachother as he proceeds to bounce 4-5 shots off me at point blank. Actually accused me of hacking   :D

This game is all about dice rolls.  I've hit tier 5 arties in the rear with a tier 10 gun and does 0 damage or bounces.  I've set fire twice to an IS-4 on consecutive shots.  It happens.  You just got bad rolls that time.

but HE should damage regardless..  even if only a little bit.

I hate this assumption. If you shoot HE at a tank, most of the time it shouldn't technically do any damage at all (other then spalling; but that's a different matter)

HE shots bounce, even from arty from time to time.  There are dice rolls to every shot.  HE usually damages but isn't guaranteed.  But if enemy is capping, definitely swap to HE since you're more likely to reset the timer.

Those were no damage criticals to the enemy's modules.
