For some reason it seems as if there is a big target painted over my Su-152 whenever I play. I don't know if it's because I have a scary gun or because I have paper armour and Low HP and they know or something else but i ve played multiple games where people go out of there way just to kill me. I don't understand. one game the only arty followed me across the entire map for the entire game. i know this because the shots came raining down every 15 seconds or so even tho I was relocating. I'm just kind of annoyed because it's so commonhttp://forum.worldoftanks.com/public/style_emoticons/default/Smile_sceptic.gif

Russian tds have the biggest guns and the weakest armor so people know the kill them before they wipe out 50% of your HP in one shot.

152 guns are too scary to ignore. I suggest investing in more cammo.

Yup after making it through the SU and in to the ISU and >| |< that close to the BL-10 for the ISU I can attest - you and Ferdinands are target number 1
My Buddie now has his SU - his crew is speced for repair while mine is cammo, I also run a camo net, bino and rammer.
We can sit 20' apart, I can fire first and they will ALWAYS see and shoot at him, boy does it tick him off..... I keep reminding him, My crew CAMO his crew REPAIR
I can not describe the foul words he says and I can't tell you how much joy it gives me to remind him, his repair crew in a russian TD is useless.

Big gun, low armour, decent sized target. Hard not to ignore a large threat that can be easily dispatched.

All these comments makes my T28 a less of a 'Artillery Magnet'. It makes me lawl but it is true. Russian TDs have those nice guns/cannons and weak, paper armor.
Also, the ISU-152, Ferdinand and the T28 are all targets. Though, my T28 (And my future T95) is more helpless due to its 'lack of speed' in relocating so I envy you all in that aspect.

Yes everyone shoots Russian TDs first. Su-85 all the way up to Obj 704 you are going to be hunted by the enemy. Get used to it and learn to hide. Then type "lol u mad?" when someone rages in chat about camo hacks.

Thin armor, no real fear factor except slow reloading derp guns.
I just got the 122mm on my Su-152 and damn this thing reloads fast!!

The biggest issue I have in the SU-152 is that people always seem to be able to take out my tracks. There have been far too many instances of me turning to kill the guy attacking me when my tracks are hit by something as I'm about to get my gun pointed at him.

Well see that's the thing about TDs, people know to shoot out the tracks and get behind them. Same thing with noobs fighting the M3 Lee, and even scouts against arty. Shoot the tracks and you can flank 'em.

Use 122 AP, HE on TDs wont help much since HE show yourself once you shoot.
As soviet TD, camo is your best friend ever and forever.

As a german td'er I prioritize the largest threat to anyone I am supporting. Isu's are often just that, and in my jagdpanther I can knock one out with 3 88 shots if im lucky. if im facing a ferdi and an isu, ill target the isu as itd be the one that id have the best chance of destroying before i die.
the isu is just so soft, and its hp is low enough that it doesnt take an imminse amount of time to destroy, although these are both in common with the jagdpanther, at least i can stay at a long range and still hit.

As a pretty successful Russian TD player I definitely priority target any Russian TD that shows up on the enemy team both because of the damage potential and because that potential is generally fairly easily removed.

Weather the people are smart enough to see you as a IS-152 or panic and see a ISU-152 w/ a top shelf derp is a question i have. The SU152 has a Very Good Gun and Avg. Profile. Armor and Gun Traverse are it's weakness. Low Crew Level Compounds issues.
Arty does MASSIVE Damage to TD's Even 3-4 teirs below the TD!(1shoting it!) If your spotted w/ high amounts of arty, expect to take incoming fire. If your high on the MM, you 'WILL' or (should be) because you can spot attackers.
Pick favorable ground in your SU-152, use your teammates as a spotting screen so you can get into position (bush, building, rock). For Mods. Cammo Net is a MUST esp. w/ low armor / hp. Engage at range w/o rushing, place your shots, and DO NOT Panic w/ Close Range Targets.
If you get into cover under fire, Don't assume your safe w/ your cammo net. A Smart Player will keep firing into the 'cammo hax' area, either to spot, kill or (Smart) to prevent you from zeroing in on your target and force you to withdraw.
...I can only hope, after some reads this, i've got one less stupid person in a Random Doubles Match Making Game.
