In addition to the "-" and "=" keys, "M" makes the mini-map disappear and reappear.

are there any other new commands I am not aware of?  I have not seen any new commands published yet (but I may just not be looking in the right place)

I'm surprised the very first time you ran a battle after the game patched to 7.0, you weren't shown the new help screen....which leads me to the following:

Press the F1 key in-game. It brings up a screen that has all the new and old commands and on screen doodles there.

People, people, people...don't be afraid to HIT ALL ZEH BUTTONS!!

Note: Also, I noticed that while running the game at very low resolutions (1024x768) I was unable to change the map size from the default size it is. I believe that is due to the fact that the map is already taking up a good portion of the screen at such low resolutions, and perhaps the devs thought increasing size any further would be detrimental.

I think the game developers can do a much better job communicating the game controls and keys to player community. The new controls and keys can be listed right in the news item when 7.1 was announced. They can also update the game manual and list out all the controls and keys in there (it isn't updated for this, as yet). They do a very good job at communicating specials and events and development plans to players so I know they are capable of documenting communicating game controls better.
