What is the difference between Panther_II.dds and Panther_II_2.dds? Is the non-2 one the resize of the hull post 0.6.4 patch?

How do you remove the original cross from german skins. When I apply an after market skin, there are two crosses on tank? LOL
Thanks for your help.

Hey, really nice guide you have here. Thanks about that. However I have hard times download the tools (programms). I downloaded Marquee, and i can handle a download with adobe (Lasso). When i wanted to download paintbrush, i googled it but received only downloads for the Mac operating system. Could somebody send me a link for windows vista 64 bit or place the download for windows on a file hosting programm like mediafire or something?

They are copied and pasted on. Typically you prep the image and give it an alpha background, the copy and paste it, then resize it and change it to the dimensions and specifications you desire.

Its not you , its probably that photoshop is saying to export as original when in reality the quality is slightly off. My suggestion to you is to go to export options and choose the maximum possible settings before saving. I have much experience with this therefore I know this is a pain and that the solution is very easy ;)

this is a great guide but I do have a question.  I tried skinning today for the first time and although it turned out terrible it was sort of fun.
On my T32 I have a great skin, sort of looks like a lightning storm that someone did. So I read a post on the Russian forum about skinning and they are using a program called paint.net. its a free download and recognizes .dds files.

Now my question.  I want to try to put a jpeg image as a layer for the skin instead of painting it. With the paint.net program it accepts it but when I save the file as.dds my tank just turns florescent red. Is it possible to use a jpeg image?? Found a couple really cool storm with lightning photo's I would like to use.

Thanks in advance for any help

What do you mean - "export options"? The only options I see is the one on my screenshot - when i choose 'Save As' in Photoshop and 'dds Format' window appears. What mode do I have to select there? And is there any other way to save dds-file, without Photoshop? DDs-Converter, that i've downloaded here does not work...
