For the AMX 13 90:

Dominican Republic / Caribbean camo:

Used by the Dominican Army, the AMX 13 90 got an interesting camo using 4 different color, here is two pictures took of an AMX 13 90 a couple of days ago:

I would really like to see this in game since it's a very exotic, unique camo. (And also because i lived in Dominican Republic for a while). I don't know if this camo got a name. Well, let's name it Caribbean !

I posted this in another thread, but in Steven Zolaga's book on the M18 Hellcat, there's a nice color plate showing the tank destroyer in a black and olive drab camo scheme at the Anzio beachhead. I believe this camo pattern was also used on other US vehicles, although it wasn't very common. I'd use this scheme with all my American vehicles if it was available because it's simple, but sharp.

ever so slightly tangential... try this:-

The Gloire, half way down.. now that would be an eyesore on a tank :Smile-hiding:

But would be fun for World of Battleships :Smile_honoring:

I dont have a particular camo paint scheme to submit, but would like to suggest a different method of purchasing camo and a different benefit.  I do think that a much larger selection of camos is necessary and would help my idea.  First, I think that the cost of a camo paint scheme be say 500 gold but once it is purchased you can use it on other vehicles you have or purchase in the future for a small fee of say 25 gold each time it is used after initial purchase.  Second, I think the camo should give at least some benefit for having it on your tank, since you have spent the gold to purchase it, maybe gives you a 10% extra hide modifier and if the camo matches the terrain you are in maybe an extra 15% on top of the 10% for a total of 25%.  There would need to be more snow maps as well for this to work.  Just my opinions and suggestions about camo.  <_<

Edit:  I really kinda like the "paintbox" or "use a paint pallete" ideas where we can design a two or three paint shceme and then pay to apply.  I would only suggest to restrict the paint colors to common Military Camo Colors, ie. flat earthtones, greens, greys, etc...I just think bright red or orange or purple should not be allowed for something that is suppose to blend in with natural colors.  Of course going this route gets away from the historical aspect of camo, but would that be so bad.  Still let us pay a larger one time fee and then a small fee to re-use on our other tanks.

I'm mystified as to why the historical patterns are not used by WoT with insignia for Division and company.  A host of kick azz patterns AND markings are available for selection and its all in the historical record, with tons of photos from the archives to back it up. Ive seen mods online that are also incredible when following the History based format and it looks ... amazing.

Some patterns could be locked and only available depending on crew rank, or Tank model.  Player interest would undoubtedly be maintained and the game play more enjoyable. I would go back and play older tanks just for the new pattern and insignia available, and the game field would be incredibly diverse. Given the limited number of maps available and the ease of a pattern design overlay its a no brainier for WoT.

The now available (for purchase) camo-pattern customization was massively disappointing. And mods online ... personally im not tech savvy enough to mess with the paste files method of personal-ization that current online mods require.  Add the fact that the current online mods can only be seen by the person modifying his personal pattern, and all other Tanks of that "type" then look all the same (thereby negating the personalization) and its a double turn off.

The customization feature could be a massive money maker for the WoT's crew so again im amazed designers and management are ignoring the golden goose for the egg that is the current pattern selection.  The idea for WoT's started on a piece of paper in a library in California, so maybe go back to the roots of simple innovation through superior yet simple ideas, and perhaps this game will be around for a long long time.  Just my two cents;)

How about embellishments you can have on your tanks that are visible to others when you achieve epic milestones. Perhaps kill rings on barrels when you get Master Tanker. Or the number of kill rings increases as certain steps are reached. the first ring for Elite on that tank. Then a ring for each medal. Something that lets others see that you have achieved something in the game.

On cmao patterns. I hark back to my original idea of having a single colour that can alter depending on the map (arctic white, desert yellow, etc) and has an option to show factory-fresh or battle-worn. I am ready to pay for the working camo when they come out if they are an enhancement. The current ones aren't and I have no plans to deface my vehicles with the available offerings.

That digital is very silar to the skin developed by WARTSniper for the Type 59. I was that impressed by it I purchased the tank just to have the skin.

Awww gee I'm blushing....  :Smile-hiding:

For those that care to look here are the images...

I would love to see the digitals even though they don't fit the timeline.

You may not find the Type listed under player AllanR; that is my brother and we both use the same PC. You will find the type listed under my name. And it is stil running around with the camo.

There is the British Berlin Urban that I have always wanted so maybe they will produce that when the Brit line comes out.

I wanna see some battleworn camos. The actual camos can be whatever you want but I wanna see large scratch marks, paint smeared, rust stains. You know, how a tank really would looks after weeks of use on the front.

Another Idea would be to have camo patterns where the use could select what colours he wants. This wouldn't be historically accurate but historically speaking all the prototype tanks and "design only phase" tanks never had any camo so why worry so much about historical accuracy in this one area? Players like personalization.
