Christmas. The time of good cheer and giving. Peace on Earth, Goodwill to All Men. Or something like that.

Merry Christmas right back at you, and thank you for your service.

EDIT: And that flight safety card was one of the funinest examples of our government at work that I've seen in awhile... what type of helo? UH-1?

If you think the Army can't get any more ridiculous, let me regale you with stories of the Marine Corps...

Merry Christmas, and thank you for your service.

Merry X-mas to you Cheiftan. God Bless you and all current and former military men and women for serving their country. As you know, all too well, they give up holidays at home with family to keep us safe to celebrate with our own. Alot of families got the X-mas present they wanted when the last troops left the now free province of Iraq the other day. Finally mission complete and well done! Well Cheif I am off to get my 5X games in now before the family gets up. My derp hetzer will be busy passing out 105mm holiday greetings to noobs from all over the world......

BTW-I'm not sure who the entertainment was but I can tell you I definitely like the looks of her voice! And was that your writing on the banner behind her head?

I spend almost 22 years as an enlisted member of the US Army so I spent a number of Christmas' away from family but never from friends! One of the more memorable was during the first Gulf War, my troop had just come off a border tour on the old East German border when we got word to prepare for deployment and we arrived in Saudi Arabia in early December. We were out in the middle of nowhere and this was in the bad ol' times before internet et al. The troop XO managed a credible Christmas tree using a camo pole and some camo net and the commo guys decorated it using engineer tape as a garland and hand-colored paper cups as ornaments. The cooks in the MKT put out a fairly credible Christmas day dinner and some of the guys sang Christmas carrols. All in all not too bad. To all those still deployed, you are not alone and not forgotten, Merry Christmas to all and a better New year!

The last picture made me laugh uncontrollable... The sight of Santa directing the planes, may I ask if those jets were pulled by Reindeers?
