Hey I just got a new desktop that I bought. Its' nothing special because i was going to upgrade a little at a time. But I was wondering if there was youtube video or and kind of instruction to how I can get more fps with this game. I have a generic Hp compaq but I have no trouble running wow or any other online games, its only this game. I really want to play this game. Anyone know of a place that help me modify my setting or make my fps better?

There is a quick and easy way in making your FPS better and smoother.
1- Open up your My Computer
2- Go to the OS (C:/)
3- Click on "Users"
4- Click your Computer User Nmae
5- Look for the file called "AppData" {If it does not show, go to Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization, Under Folder Options click "Show Hidden Folders and Files". Click the "View" tab and below in the box it list options. Where it says "Hidden File and Folders", click on "Show Hidden files, folders and drives".}
6- Go back to your User folder and AppData should show, click on AppData.
7- Click on Roaming, and look for the "wargaming.net" folder and click it.
8- Click on the "World of Tanks" folder not the "WoT" folder *WoT folder has nothing in it anymore*
9- Open up the "Preferences" file in Wordpad or NotePad
10- Ctrl+F and copy and paste this into box to find what we are looking for, *(*<label> TERRAIN_MESH_RESOLUTION </label>
<activeOption> 0 </activeOption>*)*
11- Where it says " 0 ", you need to change it to the Number " 1 ". Then Save the file.
12- Go onto WoT and start playing game at a pretty good FPS.
PS.- If you are unable to edit the file, Right click on Preferences, go to Properties, below where it says "Read - Only" click it and make the check mark go away. Then you will be able to edit it.
Hope this helps!
ALSO- Set your Settings to this in the game,
*** Screen Resolution- [How much your computer can do]-Antialiasing OFF - Texture Quality HIGH - Texture Compression OFF - Texture Filtering BILINEAR - Shadow quality MEDIUM - Enhanced Shadows OFF - Water Quality VERY LOW - Water Simulation OFF - Foliage Quality OFF or MEDIUM - Flora Density OFF - Advanced Post Processing OFF - Post Processing OFF - Draw Distance HIGH - Object LOD LOW - Extra Effect Quality OPTIONAL - Extra Effects in sniper mode OFF - Enable Track effects and Trace***
If I remember correctly, HP runs Windows 7 as well, and this should go with your computer, if not, then please let me know.

Also keep in mind that WoW is a fairly old game so it can be run by computers with not much power behind them, same with most of the cross platform games coming out today excluding bf3. WoT is poorly optimized but still a fairly demanding game.

TIP: Buy a proper video card.
No matter what you do with the tweaks and the settings, the only way to gain fps is by getting a better video card.

No matter what you do with the tweaks and the settings, the only way to gain fps is by getting a better video card.
the game also runs on a single core, the speeds of which haven't gone up much in many years
my 4 year old E8400 at 3.0ghz is in effect better suited for WoT than some of the new quad cores that come in at less than that.
so while a new video card will most certainly help, overlocking a quad to 4.5-5 ghz can help as well.
