By the way, when you look at the graph in the Wiki and at how it progresses, you wonder if the graph is accurate  - seems like it takes more xp than what the graph shows.

I will just let this one play out with one explanation.   Near the end I went back to cap but the one heavy was going to get there too soon for it to work so I ran back up the east to try to help our last tank.  By the time the Arty appeared, I was headed to try help our other tank.  2 people ask at the end "why didn't you kill the Arty?"  Well, I was headed full speed the other way when he appeared!  I knew if I went back in the valley he would splash me as I approached and I knew the 2nd heavy would be appearing from the center - which he did - and killed me.  It was a fun match even though we lost.

Mining a Confederate Medal

We rush the hill and I get a T-50 kill within seconds.  I stay and snipe from the hill, picking up a kill on a T-59.  As the battle moves to the end game, I get forced off the hill by a KV-3 and Tiger P.   It is now a Ferdi and myself against 3 heavies.  The Ferdi is 1v1 with the other heavy back at our base.  He kills that tank as I circle around the hill and try to cap.  The Tiger P breaks my cap and I have to take cover behind the big rock by the Northern Base.  I expect him to come via base side but he comes through  the water so I end up have to brawl a bit with him.  Fortunately, his rate of fire is S-L-O-W.  I finish him off and try to go help the Ferdi with the Kv-3 but the Ferdi kills him for the win before I get close.

Nothing spectacular but a solid battle!

Started to Ninja but blasted away at a Lee so had to move.  Climbed the hill t help a 13 75 with TDs and got all 3 kills there.  Then down the hill to find arty and picked up 4 more kills in this easy victory.

I started off moving to the field and watching to see if any enemy ran the field towards us, but we had 3-4 tanks rush them.  They engaged some mediums and the 13 90 as I moved up to support.  I finished off the 59 and moved up to their base, taking some shots at the 13 90.  I knew their arty was in the back on the opposite side of the rear, so I headed that way, getting in a shot a t heavy as I went by.   Their 13 90 was headed the same way along the very end of the map so I figured he was reloading and getting away from the action while he did.  I basically ignored him so I cold find the arty while the 13 90s gun was down.  I shot and rammed the GW Panther but someone else got the kill shot.  The 13 90 tried to psyche me out but he still hadn't reloaded and died ads a a result.  I headed back towards the ca area and got the kill shot on the Pershing as I approached for 1 of my easiest Orlik Medals ever.

I get 3 kills advancing up the field, kill the Arty at the end and then move towards the enemy base to help a 13 75 (I think it was reloading) with the M3 Lee.  I miss the ARL 44 twice on the way in but it is hard to miss a ram

I make a short Scout run halfway down the Western Hills and as I turn back North realize we have almost no one in the Magic Forest.   I head over there thinking we will need more firepower and end up getting to Snipe the hills as no enemy ever shows up in the Forest.  After 3 kills Sniping, I start to engage the remaining tanks on a more personal level and end up with 6 kills and a Top Gun.

My previous 8 fights, I was ranked 15th, 15th, 15th, 14th, 14th, 13th, 13th, and 13th so I was due a good ranking.  The WoT Gods not only gave me a great ranking but they also granted my Gunner above average accuracy for the battle.  Such a combination is lethal in a Cougar.  

As the battle began, someone asked me how I liked the VK-2801.  I replied,  "awesome"
