I haven't touched the EU server, so I can't necessarily back up what I said before. That's just secondhand information that I've been given by EU players over the course of a few months and none of it necessarily sounded out of the pale to me. It made sense here because the EU server does have more languages and ethnicity than the US server which is primarily American, AUS/NZ, and Canadians. I haven't really encountered too many Latin-American players who didn't live in the US.

Could also be playing situations. Some people here say we have great team work, which makes me worried about some people's mental health.

NA server also has Japanese, Korean, Filipinos, and other ASEAN countries.

It seems that generally the F keys are (F2, etc.) are good enough communication tools for the NA server. I wonder if its the same way for EU? I've never noticed difficulty because players spoke a different language. Usually the F keys work well enough.

Really?

Because I see two general usages of the Function keys:

1) spam at match start
2) guy who charges off into half the enemy force in the first minute, hits HELP! nine to twelve times, and then calls everyone else an idiot for not coming with him

Well, with the *general* USA population that's true. But with foreign language players, they pay more attention to these and don't spam them as much. As a foreign exchange student who has spent considerable time in other countries, I find that being able to communicate more with less is important, and I also have respect for people who can find ways to communicate through a language barrier. I find Attack!, Negative!, and Affirmative! to be the most helpful when playing with foreign players. If you use Attack! while leading the charge, it signals your intention and seems to help out a lot. Help! tends to work well in tight situations as well, as long as you don't spam it.

People don't respond to them during 5x events though, because they're too busy being fucking terrible to notice anything.

The Closed Beta guys I've learned the most from were Odyssey and Patreal and we've had a real blast in companies later on. If any of you know them, send my best regards and big thanks   :)

Pat's still here, and was one of the co-founders of what was arguably the best NA clan until it broke apart. He now heads up a new clan, Unconventional Warfare, known as W-A-R. I'm sure if you shot him a PM or something, he would probably respond.

EDIT: Mow_Mow is in W-A-R also, I am sure he could assist you in contacting him.

Hah, I knew that Pat was up to something ^^
That's good news =)

I could never find out what happened to Ody though. Guess he was too annoyed with WGs progress to put up with it any longer.

As for Mow_Mow, I'm definitely sure that I know this player and that we ran together in Ody's company back in beta. He had a different name ingame back then.

Thanks for the heads up, much appreciated =)

@Mow_Mow
Hands down please, what was your callsign back in beta? I forgot that one, shame on me  :Smile-hiding:

There are quite a few really good players who don't play anymore, and it makes me pretty damn sad.

Guess Mow-Mow isn't as memorable as others think she is.

I'm a bit troubled here. I was actually thinking it was the same guy we were rolling with. I know that he had some girly name in forum and stuff which was different from the ingame name (maybe different forum account, didn't really bother to dig there), but I kinda lost touch after the split. Names and dust, you know what I mean?

Again, sorry for the mistake Mow.

FOR THE LAST TIME MOW_WOW IS A FREAKING GUY.

I've talked with him via the magic of TS3, either he has a voice changer or he is a man, I assure you.

Mow, change your avatar to this to prevent future confusion:

Kyonko strikes again :Smile-hiding:

To be fair, this has happened more often than it hasn't happened. In other words, I get referred to with a female pronoun more often than I do with a male pronoun :P So don't feel bad :P (I don't think its a big deal, in my native language people are referred to in a gender neutral word) And its not just the avatar, I've been told that I "type like a girl," whatever that means : /

Lol...I can never get how a gender bent character can get so popular. Maybe because they made Kyonko more pretty than "she" would have been. As for your typing, I guess your posts give off a soft and delicate feel.

Yeah, as opposed to some hardcore b!tches that run their mouth harder than a drunken pirate. The internet, a wonderful place that never ceases to amaze me  :D
