Not really, The german tree was only half done, still missing the 2nd TD line. And Russian tree hasn't even been started.

Sortof. It's a different animal to the M8 Gun Motor Carrage with the short 75. This was a modification to M8 which mounted the 75mm M3 gun such as on the M3 Medium or M3 Tank Destroyer into a modified turret. It was never actually called anything other than M8 GMC w/ 75mm gun M3, but it's given the common unofficial name of M8A1 for simplicity's sake: They even painted it on the side!

It performed well in trials in early 1943, but they figured that by the time they put it into production, T70 (aka M18) would be about to come online anyway, so the program was cancelled.

I think you have that moderately incorrect, the short 75 version was the M8 HMC (Howitzer Motor Carriage) 'Scott' [which is really an artillery piece and not a tank as WoT would have us believe); the version WoT is creating would be a M8a1 GMC (Gun Motor carriage) and thus a TD.

I know right...im much more anticipated for the German TD line as the Americans don't interest me anymore... :Smile-izmena:

Um CatinHat, that's what I said - Russian Hasn't been done yet.

And yes the German one has been done, the second line of td's in the FAQ are meant to be after the US / Russian changes.

OK, I may be missing something, but where is the T-34 on the tree?  I see many folks saying they already have one, but where does it sit right now?  Was it a special that only certain people got?

NM, see it under the "release" tree.

So.. I wonder if we'll be able to go straight from the Wolverine to the Hellcat if we saved up the exp on it.. or if we'd have to start all the way back in the early tiers. D:

I read somewhere that the T34 has to be elited. Not sure about the T30, surely researched will suffice. Unless that research will be attributed to the new T10 heavy. Either of these pretty much has to be the case, otherwise lots of research XP will vanish.

Whoa!!!  Can someone confirm or deny this for sure?  I heard that you just had to have it in your garage.  Just barely having it was enough.  If it needs to be elited I, and I am guessing many others, are going to be furious when we don't get the free premium we ground literally months to get.

It it needs to be elited, Wargaming has a major public relations disaster brewing because I think most believe that just barely having it in your garage is enough.  I had no interest at all in the US heavy line and ground tanks I had no interest in for like 2 or 3 months just to have this money making tank.  I'd probably quit this game if the patch comes out and I don't get it.

so do i have to go back to the M10 and grind to open up the M18 ???

I would like to know the answer to this too.

If you already have the T30, and it gets moved to the new TD line, will the whole new tech tree above it be already unlocked?

Everything I have heard says that you only need to have it in your garage. Any research done on it will be transferred to the tank that takes its place.

It shouldn't. You'd just have the T30 all set. If you want the rest unlocked, you'd need to use/grind the exp.

Might want to rebuy my T82, as experiencing this line all the way through sounds fun.

Whoa calm down there.  I've read multiple time on this forum that you just need to have it in your garage.

With previous revamps, no, you would only get that moved tank (in this tank T30) opened up but none of its prerequisite tanks would be automatically researched. I wouldn't expect this time to be any different.

Whew.  I don't think I'd have time to elite it.  That's right, they've said that any research will transfer so obviously it does not have to be elited.  That guy had me worried for a moment there, haha.
