What do you get, when you take the humble Matilda tank, widen it, up the engine power, and top it with a Churchill's Centaur's turret and QF 6-pounder?

I'm not sure what the benefits of this tank would be.  Also was it called a black prince? i ask because the churchill black prince was a 17lb gun....  An interesting modification however

I think that was the Centuar's turret actually. Whatever, I want this thing. In fact, it'd be a good tier 4, no need for tier 5.

Bump ... upon consideration... and seeing as how the Matilda Mk II will be in the British Commonwealth tree already, I think maybe they could do one of the following :

* Change the Lend Lease tank to the Matilda Black Prince -or-
* Put the Matilda Black Prince in the Matilda Mk II's place on the British Tree

Either way, it's ... interesting for a medium, and may deserve a place on the tree.

I thought the Black Prince was an upgraded version of the Churchill?

Yes, but the title 'Black Prince' was used before for this project.

7.5 update has stated the matilda black prince will be introduced, presumably as a british gold tank not a russian lend lease.

When the Entire tree comes out, they'll just add onto it. It's in the patch notes... they stick an "introductory" tank to get the tree in the list, then dogpile onto it later.

So it is turning out to be a premium?  I always thought they would just make it the top turret for the matilda II so it isn't stuck with pew pew two pounders.

I can see it now, people will get the Black Prince Matilda, train the crew up to 100% with numerous skills and perks, use free xp to get a high tier tank, roll into battle and hit 'liquify'.  You can already here the screams of "OP, OP!!".

Most likely it will be a Tier 6 Premium. Maybe even 7, but doubt it.
