so what exactly will be the stats on this tank not researched? wont it just be a sherman tank? only upgrades would be a gun and a turret wouldn't they? and because i have already researched all the sherman variants on the american tree and it is only a sherman anyway will i get it automatically researched on the british tree?

Nope. You have to research all of the stuff from the scratch..
Compare the French / German tree for example. Some of the later tier french tanks use the Maybach 295 HL engine that exists in E-50 iirc but has to be researched, even if the person owns a fully upgraded E-50

Damn, I was willing to pay for it!Now I actually have to work for it...any clues where it will be on the tree?  A dead end spur?

Great! I was not looking forward to paying for it.

Working for it will make the Firefly all the more satisfying.

My bet is that the QF17pdr will be equivalent to or slightly better than the 75L70. Similar caliber and barrel length. SO imagine a tier 5/6 sherman that can penetrate a tiger frontally from 400m :)

Lol the Firefly is a redone hull as well.  Wiki isnt exactly reliable but there it says they removed the hull MG for the radio man or something......Its a Sherman, but not the M4 sherman we all know and love.  I cant imagine it would have a different turret or gun but maybe WG will be funny and rename the gun to the OQF 75mm just to make it seem more British.

17 pounder on firefly had a much higher penetration than the US 75/76mm guns, at a significant cost of accuracy. It's a completely different gun.

So the British paradigm will have next to no accuracy?  They are to be brawlers as well? kinda like the Russians, without the super alpha guns?

I hope not, though if this is the case hopefully they won't also have the Russians long aim times and absurdly low DPM.

Too bad, so sad.

There is absolutely no excuse for it to be a premium, and every reason for it to be researched tank.

only other modification to the sherman/FF I can think of would be adding a boiling vessel for water. (brits like to have hot tea on the battlefield)
