i honestly dont care about the repair cost of the chaffee. they can give what ever reason they want for having it, but i dont think its completely crap that it doesnt earn very much. if they are going to give it the repair cost of a tier 8 at least give it the ability to make just as much. id like to see its income buffed and leave the repair the same to keep mubs off it. i dont use a premium account and i manage to break even with mine but i consider myself to be quite good at this particular tank.

now about the french, i played the 12t and i thought it was a fun little tank but nothing anywhere near the capabilities of the other t5 lights and so it should be. im at the amx 13 75 atm and i still dont think it is as good as my chaffee. with the drum yes i can unload 6 shots is 12 seconds at 135(avg dmg)equaling 1620 dmg possible. but then u have a 15 second period where u are useless. and this is where the chaffee has the 1375 beaten completely. if the amx misses or bounces one shot its over. the chaffee is better in almost everyway as far as im concerned. the 1390 i cant speak for because i havent gotten to it yet but it has an even worse MM weight so i wouldnt expect them to be comparable.

French lights arent primarily scouts, like the Chaffee, they are straight up killers, plain and simple.  

I hunted heavies as my primary targets in my AMX 75...the AMX 90 just made it easier.

The MM no longer needs to fear queues full of Chaffees, the French lights more than fit the bill for thinning any perceived "win button" of the Chaffee...even the obscene number of Type 59s kept the Chaffee from being over used.

End tier or not, there is no longer any justification for the Chaffee to be so expensive.  Its alreayd MMed with much higher tiers as is.  The Chaffee already has its work cut out for it, gimping its income to this extent isnt necessary.

Im not saying it should make money like other tier 5s, but it shouldnt be penalized like a tier8/9 either.  I'd be fine with a tier6/7 income ratio.

Whether or not the French entered the fray, it still doesn't matter.  The
Chaffee should lose money, but not bankrupt players.  That's what this
tank was doing.  Even my dad whose a really great tanker was still losing
money.  It's just really bad and costs to much to use.

The chaffee is loosing 3% income while the 50-2 AND the vk get +14%

the vk and the t50-2 win games in tards hands by rushing arty at the start of the match and they are "dedicated" scouts.

The chaffee can scout but is not as fast and has the HUGE profile from the fail bobble head. Chaffee is just as much of a flanker/killer as the french lights and just as effective... on top of this the 13/90 is getting a 10% buff.

The chaffee is better compared to the french lights than the t5 scouts. With the new cred changes there is literally 0 reason to play the chaffee over a 13/90.

Yeah, I really don't get the credit nerf, especially with the other two getting buffs. It's a great tank, but it's the least profitable thing I've ever driven.

trying not to rage here but its pretty much bullcrap that they arent buffing the chaffee's income like the rest of them. they have openly admited that the t50-2 is OP and has no place in the game since it has no historical accuracy. i got excited when i read "Tier 2-5 Scouts will receive an increase within the frame from 14% to 58%" which is a complete lie. the chaffee is actually getting nerfed. this game is already way to favored in heavies favor. and it takes 5x more skill to do as well in the chaffee as any real heavy. and to add more they are punishing our bank even more. fuck that

Third test of 7.2 is giving the Chaffee back its current credit earning, so it probably won't wind up getting the nerf. That doesn't change the fact that the other two scouts are getting buffs, but it's something.

I still think it should get an income boost. The 50-2 apperantly can more or less support itself now(i dont have one though) However the Chaffee is still a money sink. I don't mind if it loses a little credit, or only gains a little on average, but then '5-6k loss' on an average game is simply too bad. I don't have premium, and if you need premium to 'run' the Chaffee without bankrupting yourself fairly quickly, then what is the point for players to grind to it?

And yes, with the french lights there are now lots of profitable tanks that do the exact same as the chaffee, or even better... Which leads me to believe that the Chaffee is slowly going extinct, pushed away by other tanks that make money.

to be honest I dont know why chaffee made it in wot in the first place. T-50-2 outperforms it as a scout, and 2801 out performs it in almost every other way. Infact I believe the only real advantage the chaffee has is its traverses. Course, I hadnt looked at the stats in over a month.

My 2801 costs about 4K to run with the 105 on a good standard account victory. So idk what youre complaining about, cuz 2801 costs just as much atm ingame (Please note I say ingame, not on the test server)

thats my 2 cents on it anyways.

It totally depends on how you play the Chaffee, yes the T-50-2 is a better PURE scout, but the Chaffee rocks as a passive scout. And the 2801 will only out perform the Chaffee if it has the derp, and even then it struggles.

The Chaffee is more like a medium tank then a light, it excels at exploiting gaps, flanking, scout killing, arty killing and causing just pure mayhem. Remember the Chaffee is basically a faster more agile Easy 8, and it also has a better gun. I have killed tier 8's and tier 9's in the chaffee with ease, something that I have never been able to do in the T-50-2, OR the VK2801.

With the 75, I play the 2801 as a anti scout and shred even chaffees =P Granted I have a interestingly unique way of playing tanks, but generally my impression is that 2801 is superior in that fact. With the 105, not only can I hurt most scouts on a hit, but I'm able to even take on tier 10s, and have killed e-100s previously (Admittingly though, it is a conditional circumstance, not to mention very difficult to do)

But, I will say that theres many imes I've fallen to a chaffee left unchecked. I just tend to fall moreso to t-50-2s or 2801s when left unchecked.

3601 (tier 6) repair cost about half then Chaffie (tier 5).

And for LESS results T-IV delivers about double credits then Chaffie.

So Chaffie makes less money then other tier 5 tank and cost more to fix then tier 6.

Where is logic?
