Do you get the extra 50 points for each extra battle you submit that has all 5 killed?
(ie: 100 extra points if both your (first) second AND third battles include all 5 killed?)

Yes, but a max of three. So, basically, battle 1 has the required all 5 killed, and battle 2+3 have all 5 killed, so that's an extra 50+50 points.

So, lets say someone does the (nearly) impossible, and gets all 5 types with a Stuart in all 3 battles.
Would the bonus be 50 + 50 + 100 = 200?
Or does the 100 pt bonus count for each time you get all 5 types with a Stuart?
50 + 50 + 100 + 100 + 100 = 400?
EDIT: Corrected previous typo that said "all 3 types" 2 lines above

This is why it's not a requirement. Those willing to try can, and those that don't want to, don't have to. If you do manage to do it, then you get nice bonus XP points to your final score.
that was clarifed on RU long before they clarified that you dont get bonus credits for killing above your teir.
Granted now they are saying they do so who knows, obviously not the developers.

Bummer for me, this is another event I simply will not be participating in, I'll explain, stop reading now if of no interest.
It's just too complicated. I'm not the brightest or most tech savvy guy. I read the instructions for this thing and it makes my head hurt. First, I do not know how to take replays -- I haven't learned how simply because at the moment this is a feature that does not concern me, is added fluff that I do not need ( until now ) and I would never know which is the one battle out of one hundred I manage to kill anything at all. It strikes me as wasteful to record every battle only to need to go through them all deleting the garbage. Wasteful, and annoying. Maybe that's not how it works, but not interested in finding out. Unfortunately I will now have to read all of the information on how to take videos, which includes the very basics, from the first step -- setting up options, technical issues, the things no one considers as it is rote for them but a challenge for me. This takes away from playing time, and I do not play games to read technical manuals. That's work. There's an inherent seperation I'd like to retain, thanks.
Then the math. It's not hard, I know, even I remember how to multiply and divide -- as long as I have a calculator, and my calculator is a 30-year-old Radio Shack solar scientific calculator with 101 functions. Very cool, and very worn out -- the burn holes and lens cracks slow it down some. In other words math and I haven't partied for a very long time. It's taken as a given players are smart enough that simple equations of basic multiplication and division couldn't be a problem. I'm letting you know that, yes, they could be. And honestly the equations aren't that simple due to the confusion between experience and XP ( seriously, wtf guys ). Seems needlessly and typically over-engineered.
My point is, while I am making it all sound much harder than it is for everyone, keep in mind some of us are not as educated, intelligent or diligent enough to deal with complicated contest rules. Or, perhaps, maybe some of us get completely turned off when, if one wants to participate in what is supposed to be a community event, they must be as good as the best players with high educations, expensive gaming gear and greatest knowledge of this game's tricks and tactics.
It is indeed a bummer that once again WoTs has decided to make a contest that I cannot participate in, but I remain hopeful that sometime WoTs will have another one for the less-intelligent and less-skilled players such as myself ( I Shot The Sheriff II, hello!? ). It's not like I don't want to, but I'd rather just play the damned game.
My opinion, cope.

Great. So now, instead of doing their job (scouting), M5s will be running all over the map trying to jackal kills for this stupid contest. You folks didn't think this through very well.
#29 Posted Feb 03 2012 - 19:22
Just a question, why can't the scores be automatically picked up by the servers?
You would think since it keeps track of everything for the stats section, you would be able to have do this automatically and not have us take screen shots.

THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION!!!!
PLZ CLARIFY CAUSE IT DEFINES IF ITS WORTH TO TRY THE 3 BATTLES WITH THE STUART.

Well, I want to give you guys a good incentive to try this out, I'm curious to see if any player can actually do this so, let's do it this way:
The 100 pt bonus counts for each time you get all 5 types with a Stuart:
50 + 50 + 100 + 100 + 100 = 400

Oops, I made a typo in my post that you were responding to ... it should say "all _5_ types"
Just want to correct my typo so everyone's crystal clear on the rules.
Also, thanks for giving us the big bonus for this ... gives us a good challenge to shoot for

Hi-
Just want to point out that it does not say you must survive anywhere on the rules...clarification please.

Ok... now I'm really confused - isn't there only 3 battles... and no bonus for the first, so if you managed to kill all 5 types in a stuart in each of the three battles, wouldn't your bonuses be:
0 + 100 + 100 = 200
What is 50 + 50 + 100 + 100 + 100 = 400 ???? (feeling like I'm missing something here!)
...and one other thing - how do you determine if the battle was done in the given time window? screenshot of the garage only shows local time doesn't it? For instance, I'm UTC+10, so the closing time of "Sunday, Feb. 5, at 11:59 AM PST (7:59 AM UTC Monday)" will show as 5:59pm Monday Feb 6th in my garage screenshot (but no indication that my timezone is UTC+10) - just curious as there often seems to be some confusion at the end of these comps with entries not being accepted.
...and thanks, interesting comp

You need 1 game where you get all 5 types to qualify to enter the contest. Then you add two other high xp games to get your best score.
If you have 2 games where you get all 5 types (in any tank), that's 50 points bonus.
If all 3 games have all 5 types killed (in any tank), that's 50 + 50 bonus points.
If you get all 5 types in one game with a Stuart tank instead of some other tank, that's another 100 point bonus, for each game you get all 5 types in with a Stuart.
So, if you get all 5 types of tanks in each of your 3 games with a Stuart, you get 50 + 50 + 100 + 100 +100 = 400 bonus points. Gives you incentive to boldly (hopefully not suicidally?) go after those heavies in your Stuart

Battle 1 w/ stuart, w/ all 5 tank types destroyed: 100
Battle 2 w/ stuart, w/ all 5 tank types destroyed : 100 + 50
Battle 3 w/ stuart, w/ all 5 tank types destroyed : 100 + 50
That's the "nearly impossible" situation that I'm hoping one of you can do!

As for this, I usually check the date and time on the garage pop up, and also the time I receive the email in my inbox.

I see... I read it as you get a 50 points bonus in any tank, but make that a 100 point bonus in a stuart... not you get the 50 point bonus and another 100 bonus on top of that, and even a 100 bonus for the first battle if you do it in a stuart.
...ok, not sure I like my M5 stuart quite that much, but we'll see
...and as for the time thing - you need to tell the devs to put a UTC clock on the garage screen somewhere - that would make things so much easier for everyone - that way all comps can be described as 'Game time' and you'd be able to verify entries so much easier
