Definately M2 Light for me. Fast, nice gun, practically immune to autocannons.

I'm all about speed, get to that sweet rock in the middle of the map with the bush on the end of it and lay waste. The BT-2 has the speed and the gun to do it.

The armor is low, but the speed will get you from cover to cover before the enemy can get a bead on you.

Since they have good mm, I though I'd buy one back. Which one?

I had this same problem and at first chose the m2 LT because i saw it do well in a tournament as a scout.  This I am feeling was a bad buy.  It does not feel fast, and it's view range is now awful, so I think it;s done.  I am actually of the opinion that tier 2 scout tanks don;t actually make decent scout tanks anymore.

I'm looking at a bison  and a panzerjager 1 as my choices.  One is arty and the other is a TD.  All the tier 2 lights have the same crappy view range now, so the only real differentiator is speed.  I'd have to say bt2 then.

Bonjour,

T-26 soviet is superior camarades.  I adore mine.  68 percent win rate on such tank and mass quantities of kills as well.  It extreemly maneauverable and can turn in direct circle.   It also has 45mm weapon that can kill even les premium reasonably enough.  Physical speed non very fast but within reason.

I don't know what you're on, but I am pretty sure you have misunderstood quite thoroughly how to play the M2 LT. It's not really a scout. It is a hit'n'run tank. I prefer to know who I am hitting before I run to hit them, leaving scouting to others. You might want to try it again. Or then just conclude that it's not for your playstyle.

Anyway, at the price, I don't understand how it can be a bad buy. The tank itself costs about the same as 3 shells (3k), repair is basically free. Crew and radio, well, that's 110k, but that's nothing. Best engine 5k. It's practically free.

A tank that very quickly accelerates to 50 km/h not being fast?! Come on!

depends on which battles you are fighting.  I didn't buy it for tiered pubs fights.  i bought it for very high level tournaments.   See my thread here:  http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/151903-do-i-want-to-build-a-tier-2-scout-and-if-so-what/page__fromsearch__1  I found this thread looking for answers to the question I had to eventually ask. in a separate thread.

The OP wants a good tank for pubs (mm!), not tourneys... Wrong thread.

Fair enough.  plus one for you.  My thought was that if you are going to keep it you might as well have something you can use later too.

As far as sheer badassery at tier 2 goes, favorites include:

bt2 - really really fast with a decent gun and a well sloped front.  Just don't show any other part of your tank to the enemy, you will be dead in two hits.  If you like the t50 or the pz3/4 (when elited), this is your boy.  It's a lot like driving an ELC with a turret that goes all the way round.  It doesn't turn well, you're probably going to want to train clutch braking.

m2LT - Speed, bouncy armor, and a very short range 20mm true machine gun that can put out really large amounts of damage. Ignore the 37mm unless your only equippable mods are binocs and camo. it's pen and accuracy are lousy, but the other gun's range is so short it's impossible to snipe with so you won't get much performance out of those components.   it's hampered by a glacially slow turret rotation.  GLD will help a lot, but that 500k price tag is going to hurt.

Bison. -   Good gun range, great camo, the best view range in the game, and a monster gun that will kill quite a few tier 5s in one shot.   An arty you can top gun in (they won't all do it, but this will).  In all other ways though it's like driving a garbage truck.  Dead slow, no rotation, and paper armor.  This is not a tank that plays TD well. If you want to TD in an arty go American.  Just like all arty, it wants a rammer, GLD, and cammo.  It can live without them though. (except maybe the rammer)

You missed a few tanks.....
I did enjoy the Pz 35 t, and got a nice rating in it (FAR better than my results in the Pz2).
I hated the Hotchkiss back in the day, but now I enjoy the Pz H39, which is more or less the same. Not much into frenchies, though, so I won't buy it back.
T-26 and BT-2 were a breeze to me, though I liked their speed and guns.
Currently I'm grinding the M2 MT, and I find it kinda hard (used to faster tanks and more powerful mediums, I guess), though I've seen them being well-driven by others.

I use mine for sniping with long 37mm. Plenty of ammo and shoot so fast the aiming time can't keep up with it. :Smile_trollface-3:

Hmm well if it were just tier 2's then I love my H35 but boy is it slow. That said you often face tier 3's and the H35 can get wiped in a shot or two. At that point I want the Pz for speed and maneuverability
