Use whatever gun best fits your play style. One thing I'll say, if the 88L/56 is the best fit for you, might as well pick the VK3002DB instead of the Panther.

Gawd, the Panther was such a HUGE disappointment after the VK3002DB. Large, slow, awkward, catches fire like it's made out of matchsticks, not nearly as bouncy as the DB. I can't imagine even playing 200 games in that tank, much less 2000.
