Sounds neat, I like forward to seeing all the info! and on a side note, Think Tank, is a company that makes parts for 1/16 IR battle tanks.

Did Wargaming ever release the video of Operation Think Tank? I can't find it anywhere on the internet and they said it would be release at the end of May.

Nope.

Marketing are convinced that nobody wants to sit down and watch two two hour blocks of people sitting around talking about tanks, so want it cut up into lots of ten minute segments, which, of course, our production guy can't do quickly. I, unfortunately, am now in Ireland (and have been travelling for over two weeks) and thus can't strangle anyone to bypass this logjam.

Aww. I was quite excited about getting some food and drink and sitting down with some friends for a watch.

Well, upload the whole darn thing for people who are interested and keep those snippy-flashy highlights for later uploading/editing if you lot don't have the time?

They are wrong.   But why am I surprised? I used to work in "Marketing" and recall endless rounds of meetings where good ideas went to die, and bad ideas got pushed along since no-one had the balls to stand up and say "Why the f**k are we even contemplating doing this stupid s**t?"

Suggestion:  When you get back, take a couple of fragmentation grenades to your next meeting with "Marketing" and arrange them neatly next to your coffee cup.

Who convinced marketing that I wanted to do that?

I'm up for the two video formats. I'd prefer the unedited version.

Tell them the cut it up into two 1 hour segments or at worst four half-hour segments, ten minute segments is fine to spin it off later and get more ppl to watch that wouldn't sit through 2 hours but tell the Marketing noobs that their first priority is getting it out in full so that the ppl who are actually interested can watch the whole thing!

I really enjoyed the "trailer". What was interesting and amusing was the clips of the guests speaking.......not the "clever" graphic effects.
Marketing feel cheated if they cannot splash clever graphic effects all over their "product", like cheap make-up on an old whore.
Im sure the raw footage is readily available. Just upload it, and forget about fancy editing and meaningless whizz-bangs. Everyone has a fast forward button, and most know how to use it.

Was looking to put it up this weekend, but another delay hit.

As I understand it, everything is now in place for it to go out this week as of Friday, but I am away with the Army. The files have been edited and are ready for upload, the web page we're putting it on has been created, I just have to get back into the office and do it! Given some irrational requirement that long videos be uploaded when people have time to watch them, I expect that will then be held until this weekend.

More frustration. Was hoping for last Friday. Then this Friday. Then yesterday. Now it seems today isn't happening either.

The 'release' pages and threads are written and waiting (Set as invisible), the video is uploaded, we're just waiting on one or two things from the IT side for tracking purposes.

Maybe tomorrow...
