Didn't think this would fit in the Gameplay discussion, so I decided to ask here. I'd like to record some of my good games after all, both moments of glory and the occasional funny moment.

If you can't run a program like fraps, or can't buy one, I suggest turning on the battle replay function in options.

Its small in size, records the entire game through your POV(Unable to switch to other tanks), Runs through WoT.

Go to your settings, under game, check Enable Battle Recording.

This'll create a file named Replays in your WoT root folder, In there you'll find every replay that you've played after enabling the option.

There's an option in the settings menu for replay recording.  Just make sure that's checked off and the game automatically records each match for you.

Bah, beaten to it!

I use 'overwolf' its free and you can even record directly from your replys.  http://overwolf.com/   its also more then just a video game recorder

What I do is have the battle recording turned on, and then if I have a battle I want to save, after it is over, I go put the file in a different folder.  And when I can be bothered, go replay them and use fraps to record them so they can be uploaded to YouTube and shared :)

once you use fraps to record the replay do you have to user another app to convert the video to anothe format that can be uploaded to youtube or does fraps do everything at once?

So, thanks for the help guys. I have a bunch of replays here that I found interesting to well...replay. I'll need to ask this followup question though. How do I watch this replay?

Close the WoT client, then just double click which replay you want to watch. It should open back the WoT client and play the replay. Replays are found in the replays folder of your WoT folder.

OK, I'm stupid :-(  Where exactly do I find my replays. I'm not following the above instructions. Must be looking in the wrong folder?

In your world of tanks folder there is a folder called replays. If you dont have one its because you have replays turned off in settings.

C drive / Games / world of tanks / replays

Further to this discussion, will fraps or overwolf maintain the integrety of the video footage.  I have used playclaw and msi afterburner, to record my tank battles, as well the battlerecorder and I find that some of the text that appears on the video is unreadable and over pixelated.  Especially when I go and try to make a montage of several battles using a video editing program such as PowerDirector, and even Nero.

Replay of Battles recorded through the battlerecorder this in no problem but no other video editing software will recognise them.  I would like to record them with the hud displayed, mainly the damage display and minimap display not fussed about having the teams displayed. Any suggestions would be nice.
